My computer was infected (because of my stupid illiterate parents ) with IEdefender spam trojan .I found a few programs that will let me clean it but I cant afford the 40 bucks and the free spyware doesnt do anything! please help me :(!!!! That message pops up every time I load a new page! You know how annoying it is to close that every time I check a different forum topic? PLEASE HELP FRIENDS!! IF anyone has spyhunterSE full version I would gladly appreciate the lisence key for a one time use :(.
 
Perhaps I could loan you a year subscription of Norton, then again, maybe it'll slow down your system even more! :P
 
:(!!! well I found a temp solution. Im just going to use Mozilla for now, even though I detest it. Is there anyway to Lock mozilla so my parents have to deal with their infected IE and not mess up my mozilla?
 
If they really are as computer illiterate as you say, just create a shortcut for Mozilla and put it in a folder that only you access, you can even hide the file (check the "hidden" box under properties) if you want. Then delete the shortcuts that are in plain site on the desktop and/or in the startup menu.

I have several programs that would let you clean it out, but...people may frown upon the methods you'd need to use in order to get them to work, so I won't.

Some things to see if there's a trial version of (I don't know if there is, these are just programs I have):

Spyware Doctor
Spybot Search and Destroy
Registry Mechanic
PcBug Doctor
avast! Antivirus
CCleaner
XoftSpySE

Also try downloading hijackthis, a free program that'll scan your computer and give you a log of practically everything. There are then loads of forums online with techs who will look at the log and give you a fix for clearing out any problems.

Also, those free programs you tried and didn't work, make sure you run them in safe mode. Also try searching google for the trojan itself, just type in the name of it. You should get several things on how to remove it.
 
Spybot is by far the best spyware checker I've ever had my hands on. It's so easy and it detects practically any spyware it can find.

haha. im sorry i cant just leave it like that^ i feel to bad.

anyways, go to hijackthis.com and scan your pc, or just tell your parents to get you some programs to try to get rid of it. If all else fails, reformat it.
 
that sucks.. I wish I had the ultimate solution for you... but all I can say is what NeoJed already did: "Don't use IE" ^^
gl and hopefully you can fix this without reformating. :)
 
Go with what Creepingdeath said. I use avast and I havent had a single problem since. It does cost $60, but the protection it provides is worth it. Try to convince your parents to buy it.

Trust me this will solve you current problem better than an anti virus cause this targets it all at once.

Then i would suggest installing an anti-virus such as AVG http://free.grisoft.com/
Spyware is important to keep under control and I'm partial to adaware: http://www.lavasoftusa.com/
