Opinion on Headset

[DUCE]

I'm debating whether or not to get a new headset, and the one that I'm eyeing is this one. Just wanted some outside opinion/perspectives:

So whatcha guys think?

I think this would be a better buy, good sound quality from what i've heard and this one has free shipping so it cost the same as the turtle-beach after shipping.
Plus the Creative Arena comes with a free PC game for a limited time offer even though its Prince of Persia.......Still the Creative may be a better headset overall, comes with a USB soundcard too and you know creative makes good soundcards

Headset is only as good as its soundcard most of the time, though onboard audio is usually good enough for most people.

Duce - I have the TB HPA 5.1 myself. I've had no reason to say anything other than positive things about them. they're a solid headset and worth consideration ~

Have you considered any of the headsets that are on eBay? My current headset (Plantronics Gamecon 777) I got from eBay for over 50% off of what the website has it for & its been awesome! I just found the other version of my headsets (the Gamecon 377) on newegg & its only $50 w/ free shipping! Id say that def beats both Creative & Turtle Beach (no offense guys), not to mention that the sound is great. It sounds the best if you have a sound card, but seriously doesnt lack w/o a sound card. Only difference between the Gamecon 777 & the 377 pretty much is the usb connector (which I dont use since I still have my old Creative Audigy 2 ZS soundcard from back in 03, but its still kickin thankfully). Just a lil suggestion there bud!!

**EDIT** Read the reviews on the Gamecon 377 as they will be pretty much right on w/ the 777 version. Amazing comfort, technology built in for the mic, makes ya look like an airline pilot (but i find that more in humor than a negative).

I actually havn't heard that great of things from the gamecon 377, they are good budget headphones but definitely not that good. I know the gamecon 777 are better and higher end but i don't think the 377 beats any of the headphones at all. I have heard they are quite uncomfortable actually but i don't deny that the gamecon 777 can be a contender.

Try Steelseries or anything from Creative most of those are really nice and Razers are nice except expensive.
