... And it arrived bent. I'm no genius, but I don't think the aluminum blades are supposed to be bent. The first 15 starting from the bottom are bent upwards in the middle. (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835186134)

The U shape is the heat pipes.

Will it still cool fine? =\ ... I'm using my single core right now, I wanted to test it on it but I don't want to mess up the pre-applied paste. Don't wanna risk trying it on my triple core.

I don't think Newegg goes returns on things broken even if it happened during shipping =\. I'll try and talk to them, if they do then I'll have to scrape up the shipping and probably wait forever for one. Can't take my CPU going up into the high 60s(My single core temp is fine however...)

You should have gotten some OCZ grease with it too though.

And Newegg accepts returns, just about as good as Walmart does (which is great)

Doesn't seem like it, it's bent really crapily, and the manual for installing it shows it with all perfectly straight blades. And the edges are bent down as if someone pushed it down on the side a little.

If it is drastically bent, go ahead and contact Newegg, most likely they'll send you a new one and pay you for shipping that one back to them.

It's not supposed to be bent...........the fins on CPU coolers are all equal distances apart and straight, not bent towards the middle or top/bottom in anyway.

This is what I talked to you about before, research before you state something like it is a fact.

As seen in the illustration above, the bottom fins should be bent. If you don't think this is what your heatsink looks like, please take a picture of it and post it here.

Edit: o wait those 3..........but he said that "the first 15 fins are bent upwards in the middle"
either way its not supposed to be like that. The last 3 fins may be bent downwards but the first 15 fins shouldn't be bent upwards

I can't see the pictures... However, the last 3 or 4 fins are bend downward to get some air going over the MOSFETS on the motherboard.

Yeah, if it is indeed the bottom 15 then it would be a problem. But regardless, there are heat-sinks out there with bent fins.

yes true........but not many of them have bent fins from what i know, this arctic cooling one is a first for me, all the ones i see are non-bent like the V10, Megahalem, Vendetta, scythe and so on

Mobo and cpu cooling for the price of 1

But I agree with the others that 15 of the fins should not be bent
