im going with penn and the rest of your picks as well except florian/guida, guida is a brawler and florian more of a tactician and in the end i think it will be a good fight if florian can withstand the initial onslaught of guida but overall i think florian is more accomplished in the ground game and will get a submission.
 
Yeah i see what you mean but i dont think Florian will be able to keep up the pace in the fight.
 
yeah i agree on all points but im also unsure about the Florian/Guida fight.. im not sure if guida's explosions are gonna ruffle florian and hes just gonnna control the tempo too much.

hey guys right now im workin on trying to get into mma or at least some form of ufc. right now im in tkd but startin to get into brazilian ju-jitsu.
 
I have to say, I was pretty happy when Sanchez dropped. It's nice to see theres so many UFC lovers in here!
 
You guys all missed the "UFC 107 Viewing Party" channel (usually referred to as "DoD Room 3") in Ventrilo last night,we had a great time. We had seemingly half of our own leadership in there, and there's nothing like hearing what happens a minute before you see it just because somebody paid $55 for pay-per-view in high-def ;)
 
oh crap i forgot about this lineup - oh well im watching it on mma-core.com right now, queueing up the penn/sanchez fight but i already know penn is gonna rock him. penn has only been beaten once at 155, and he'll never be beaten again. he is the GSP of 155

also i was gonna put my money on kongo but he got rocked?? wow i gotta watch that fight!!
 
Mir was explosive, the most dominant he's ever been, really added power and striking to his already excellent ground game.

Guida always puts up a good fight but he always comes out bloody and I knew that if florian could withstand that initial onslought and take it to the ground it would be too much for him, and florian displayed some improved striking as well.

And BJ vs. Diego....well....ahem.... diego looked to be in great shape but was just outclassed top to bottom by BJ and lucky that the fight got stopped when it did.

Sanchez’s face was grotesquely beaten. The fight was stopped after a head kick from Penn, a knee and then a series of uppercuts. One of those blows – likely the head kick – opened a massive gash on Sanchez’s head. Both of his eyes were swollen and nearly shut. It appeared his nose was broken. His lip was split in two places. He was bleeding from his right ear.

and BJ....not even a scrape on em.

Idk how many times i had to hear that stupid chant, Penn rocked him hes a monster. i think it was a combo of diego getting caught up in all the hype and penns takedown defense and MUCH MUCH more superior standup.

and yeah foxhound it was the head kick it showed it on the replay.
 
i still think penn is almost always outmatched when he moves up to 170, but he is still untouchable at 155 and will remain so for a long time. sanchez was definitely the only 155 right now that is worthy of that shot, and he just got demolished.

so who is next for penn?
