erm, why is this at the bottom of the page. I only found out it was hear because I accidentally pressed spacebar which scrolled me to the bottom :P. This needs to be at the top because it ends tomorrow. I really wish I had the money to buy one :(

I have one. It's really a nifty gadget. Every single person I know has been blown away by it when they've actually got to use one for a few seconds. That being said, there are a few things about it that you should know before purchasing.


Good:

Physics in supported games is awesome. Throwing Jarate FEELS like you are throwing something. It's impossible to explain, you just have to do it for yourself.

Support from big game developers like Valve.

It looks like something out of Portal.

Bad:

Has to be reset between games. Not sure if this is just mine or not, but I have found no help on the Novint web page for this issue.

Has a tendency to switch weapons without any input from me. This sucks when you go from shotgun to rocket launcher without warning.

No Left 4 Dead 2 support.

Takes up a lot of real estate on your desk.


Ugly:

The Novint web page never gets updated.


Promised "Windows drivers" are taking forever. These are for making the Falcon supported by all games and within Windows even if there is no native support.

If you live in a non-US area prepare to spend a fortune on duty to get it. I spent almost 80 bones getting mine across the border. YMMV.


Bottom Line:

It's a neat gadget. I don't regret getting mine. But just be aware that once you've played through Half Life and Portal again it may sit on your desk collecting dust until the native Windows drivers are released.

I can't wait to play Borderlands with it.

got it a while ago, as others have said its an neat gadget that does what it does great, but can take up a lot of space when not in use
 
I love mine!!!! Although I do miss all the buttons on my G9 mouse, still haven't gotten used to using the keyboard again to duck and switch weapons yet.
 
Hey guys, F-Gen drivers are coming out soon (beta will be out before the end of the year), and one of the main points of the F-Gen drivers is to create a tool for the community to create drivers for games, which they can export/import and share. It will take a bit of time to work out the kinks on F-Gen, but within a few months, I think there will be pretty strong F-Gen support ;) (and it therefore won't take up space when not in use, as it won't be not in use)

docfate, it's not the norm to have to reset between games, or switching weapons. Our customer support might be able to help with those issues. We're updating the web site more regularly now too. We admittedly went through a bit of a spell where we didn't update often
