Rate My Rig (pic's will be on after all parts. just upgrding cases)

believe me, you will. Newer games are in the 5-10 GB range, and i have roughly 1/2 of my steam games installed (48 games) and its taken up roughly 92.8 GB of my 300 GB. (im downloading some of em as i write this) Unfortunately since i use my pc for itunes and work, i have barely <30 GB left.

ya i will NEVER have 48 games installed on my computer, freaking ever.
most possibly in the 5-10 range at one time. trust me, im good. i am thinking about upgrading to a 10,000 rpm harddrive though depending on my income tax return cheque =P

Haha, yeah, thats what i have, 300 GB WD Velociraptor, hoping to pick up another soon for raid 0. :) As expensive as they are its a huge improvement over the 5400, and even 7200 RPM drives i had.
BTW, the only reason i have so many games is because i always spring for the huge deal game packs like THQ or Orange Box etc.

I'd give it a 6.5/10, depending on the total cost of this computer (couldn't see where you said how much it cost totally).

Honestly, with how cheap HDDs are nowadays, it's not so much as how much you use, as you may as well have it just in case. I got a 1TB external HDD on Black Friday for $55; this to go with a 640GB external HDD, 2x320GB +1x750GB internal HDDs. Internally, that's about 1.3TB of storage; only 400GB is free spread out amongst all four. The externals are filled to max, acting as backups to the internals, and then as additional storage (freed up space on the internals for more games and other downloaded/saved media)

ok well, tomorrow is my big day. lol. new case. and i talked to a x clan member and he has 2 3870x2's and he is willing to give them to me for free i just pay shipping so i think im gunna get them from him even tho my mobo cant use 2 vid cards cause i only have 1 PCI-e x16 2.0
so i might take both or just 1 but if i got both i would use it for backup or get a new mobo what do you guys think?

if possible get a new mobo, those should be pretty powerful if you can put them in quad-fire. Two cards in the one should be pretty powerful though

2 3870x2's for free?! That's insane, what a nice friend you have. I don't care if it is a 3yr old part, 4 gpu's would equal one heck of a rig

yeah, he is. he was gunna give me a thermal take element for free too i just had to pay shipping. and he might send me some beginner stuff for watercooling
