pretty much, yeah.

take the one Blu spawn on Egypt... 2 doors... let's say you put 8 bombs outside one door and 8 outside the other... when the doors open, you face one door, detonate, then turn to face the other, detonate again. I'm sure it will have some sort of HUD element to go along with it (would make sense at least) similar to the engineer's little overlay that comes up when you select something to build.

According to the description...

The new weapon lets you lay down 16 stickies, if you're looking at stickies when you detonate them, only those on your screen explode. I'll infer that if you're not looking at any of your stickies, then they all explode. Also, you can use them to explode other demo's stickies.

So let's take an example from Blackmesa. Let's say you're in the Iron Horse spot, guarding the blast doors. Now you can lay down 8 stickies over the grating, 4 over the entrance from the vents, and 4 more at the third floor vent entrance. If you watch the various spots, you can detonate each group separately. If someone comes from blast doors: KABEWM! If someone tries to sneak around from the crab room: KABEWM! And if someone gets past your other two traps: KABEWM!

This is a full-on upgrade to the sticky launcher. Now to remove a fully entrenched paranoid demo, you'll need an uber or another demo with this weapon to destroy the stickies.

The only downside is they have a longer priming rate, so if you're using them like rockets or someone gets in close past your defenses, then you'll probably die.

that is the same way i would describe it also and it screws my stratgey for killing the IH demoman i ussly wait in the vent till he blow someone up undeneath and run out and rocket jump into his face but i guess he can use multiple traps now so that is a no go

I pretty much lay the traps that Thereven laid out, only with 4, 2, and 2. Now I don't have to compensate for a loss of firepower!

And it isn't THAT hard to get the IH demo out. A C+D Spy, trickery, and loosening the stickies can all help clear a path :)

its kinda totaly OP

The Direct hit sounds kinda totaly OP, the Bugel sounds kinda totaly OP...

we have this every update, i like the sound of this weapon really, and the Demo gets a major disadvantage from it, it seems balanced to me.

i think it is a good trade of it give him more ability to make traps but takes away some of his direct combat ability.

i use the normal stick launcher a lot for direct combat you run up with the pills fire them of than back peddle airbursting stickies around them which is very usefull.

good trade off less versatile but much better of one aspect of what a demo does.

It's clear they wanted to have the potential to upgrade both aspects of both classes - they gave the Demoman a sweet melee killing combo with the damage redux to back it up, and a defense-heavy replacement to better guard points and camp.

What is this HUD you speak of? Us non geek-speakers don't understand what this means. Please refrain from acronym usage while on the interwebosphereiblog. :P
