Umm... My backpack is empty???

Anyone else having this problem?

Started up TF2 today to find my backpack is completely empty.

What do?

Wait till Valve fixes it. You could always send in a report to Valve saying you, too, got it cleared. I was lucky enough to keep all my items though. There are many who weren't so lucky. =/

I appeared to lose quite a few items trying to craft last night, but after being connected for long enough today and dying a few times, I got everything back.

With this new update, a lot of things with the backpack, unlock system, crafting, etc. is really messed up. Give Valve a couple of days to fix everything up and you should be fine.

If you check Valve's RSS feed and/or blog you'll see that they specifically noted that they would be working on the crafting system throughout the day and all of the items in your backpack would be unavailable for a while. Don't worry - they'll all be back soon enough...it wasn't a bug, just some down time as they were implementing the new system.
