xbox 360 problems >.<

so my 360 is burning perfect rings around my games.
really frustrating since it burned rings into my new mw2 game.
anyone know what the problem could possibly be?

Since it's burning I would say it's overheating


The best thing to do with an Xbox even before you use it the first time, is to take off the heatsinks and apply some good name brand thermal paste (most of the issues with red ring are from overheating and the crappy thermal paste being one of the reasons). If you can't do that, than constantly use a small desk fan to blow on it when it's on.

Thats if you want to comepletely void your warranty and never be able to get it covered by one again...

Do you mean legit burning rings into your disk or scratching them into it? There is quite a big difference for the problems with the two

oh i figured it would be the optic assembly putting the rings in the disks, but i could try that, i just dont wanna do trial and error when it comes to mw2 costing 60 bucks XD

if it is still under warranty, call tech support, they can help you

It sounds like the laser that reads the disk is having trouble retracting or was bumped out of its spot

yea, if you under warranty you can probably send it to MS and they can fix it

well the first time my brother was playing it.
and he doesnt have a good history with my games,
so i thought it was his fault
and i traded it in and got a new went to play and it comes out with scratches in a perfect circle.
