2nd Borderlands DLC announced!

Hey gang!

The search function turned up nothing so I think I'm the first to post about this:

Mad Moxxi's Underdome Riot - the 2nd Borderlands DLC content, has been announced!

It adds a new game play mode called "Riot." Basically think of Halo ODST's firefight mode, where you fight to survive increasingly tougher waves of enemies. Or its kind of like the "fight club" missions but tougher and for better prizes.

Supposedly the DLC will also include a bank for storing items and a chance to get 2 more skill points. No announcement on a level cap. By the way, what are we supposed to do with only 2 more skill points? Boo!

This DLC is currently scheduled for release on XBOX Live on December 29th, and unfortunately for you PC players they haven't said anything.

Price will be the same as the first one.

Personally my first impression is that it won't be as good as the first DLC, but I'll probably still check it out. PC users I really hope they don't make you wait forever like they did with the first one.

Yeah saw it a few days ago on Kotaku, not much to really enjoy, since PC users never get attention from Gearbox nowadays.
 
ya exactly. its great that they are coming out with more and moe releases, because i really like the game. but its bad that im a PC gamer because gearbox is snuffin the pc users and community like crazy
 
Glad I didnt uninstall Borderlands yet! Got a feeling more these will come out seeing that thsis game in my eyes is losing some people such as myself.
 
Yeah.. I didn't even get the first dlc. I don't like being nickel and dimed for stuff that probably should have already in the game, the first dlc was only like 2 hours long.. Fallout 3 atleast added good content.
 
Hey Gang,

Back with a quick update. My Christmas was a great "haul-in" and that means my time on the XBOX has been spent with Assassin's Creed 2 and Left 4 Dead 2.

Long story short, last night before I went to work I set my XBox to download the new DLC as it is out, but I haven't gotten a chance to play it.

I hope to rectify this and give the PC players a sneak peak sometime soon!
 
Hey gang! Just wanted to let you PC players know that it looks like you got some love this time around, this content is available on STEAM!
 
I think this DLC will make the lvl 50 ppl have something good to do with the nice weapons we have amassed
 
Verdict: Yes it does, but it is quite slow paced and repetitive. The arenas are great but when you play 5 rounds with 5 waves each, it is hard to see much change in terms of difficulty (maybe because it takes so long) or enemy numbers. Essentially, the difficulty doesn't scale up fast enough or high enough. If they changed this, it would be well worth $10 or whatever, but until then, it's a pretty duff deal.
