Here you can post your favorite tricks or tips you want to share with new players or older players that arent so good. Please put the subject of what your going to talk about in bold

Leaning VS. NON Leaning In INS there is the lean action Left or right. In most valve games FPS mainly people would find out who is in the next area by moving in the doorway enough so get a cross hair in the room. So half of your body will be in the enemy sights. But in INS you can lean which only puts out your head and a little bit of your chest, it is better than the other way because when you lean you eliminate more than half of your hitbox (to get a kill you have to hit the hitbox thats why you can get killed around a corner if you run because your hitbox lags behind you dont have to hit the model to get a kill) and then to top it off depending on the angle of your gun it might block your head. The gun does not have a hitbox. This is less revealing but more effective thank you.

Dust2 barrel tips You know how you get stuck in the barrels in dust2 maps? you can use these to your advantage. when in B there are like 4 barrels. Push the two barrels closest to doors that allow usmc to come in and just cover the hole in the upper part of the wall the only way they can get past is if the push it or nade it. Both will make a sound. You can do the same for the double doors closest to B.

Sinjar sniping tricks (INS only) for this I find it most useful with a enfield. OK get to the bunker on the cliff side the one right in front of spawn. Get in and go to either the left or right far enough so you can see the people but you have a small kill box. From there you can see the stairs the road. and almost anything from the humvee at D to A.

RPG/Grenade Safety Before nading the next room, if you have a mic check if there are friendlies in there. This is especially important when playing as Ins at Sinjar. Point A needs an occasional RPG to clear it out, but sometimes someone is playing rambo up close.

Sniper Tip The USMC M14 sniper has a slight problem when the bipod is deployed. The sight is angled too low, meaning that the bullet will hit slightly above where the sight is. Mostly noticeable at longer ranges when going for a headshot.

First rule of INS Rush. On every map, at the very beginning, the team that gets there first has the advantage. Baghdad and Buhriz especially. The one exception may be Karkar, as the Insurgents have to go only a short distance to get in good position.

This is true with any game. It's easier to defend than attack. If you control the middle of a map, you control the game.

Diamond's 5 Tips To Win or Fail lol!

1. Never hide in bushed, grenades can KILL you.
2. Find a good place for hiding whereby grenades CAN'T KILL you.
3. Have sufficient ammo if you're carrying a heavy weapon
4. Never switch while running, that would a) slow you down b) vaunarable to enemy fire
5. If you're a sniper stay away from the windows, snipe deep inside, cause if you stick your barrel outside, your DOOMED lol

My 5 Tips =)

1 word. RAMBO. Don't forget to aim for the head or chest.

My tips for machine gunners: Your weapon is not designed to snipe or single shot. It should be used like a fire hose in bursts of fire. The idea is to suppress points where the enemy might be or might enter in - to keep them from doing just that.

I get frustrated playing Marines and having two SAW gunners who are waiting to see INS before firing... SAW's should be used like water cannons.

Yes - you may not get as many kills as you would as another class - but learn to do the job of the class you're in. You make the team more successful.

when your playing remember your not playing CSS you cant win if you dont rush (you can still be the last team on the field but it is still a loss if you havent capped most or all obj

Don't go where the enemy expects you, be sneaky, go to weird places, camp, hide, flank to go close to the enemy's spawn (no spawncamping though) and enemies that leave there spawnarea will not expect you to be that close to there spawnarea, let the enemies rush by and shoot in the back or as a defender camp at the controlepoint on weird positions where you have a lot of cover, hide until the enemy discovers you or the enemy tries to take a control point, then nade the place up.

Global: be sneaky, have patience, and play defensivly (even if you'r attacking)
favorite gun for this typ of gameplay is any sergeant or any militant gun ;) (also for the nades :p)

choke points always cover choke points this is an example of a choke point in Bravo in dust2 the hallway the insurgents or terrorist go into to get into bravo or b is a choke point when that is the only way to get into a room and it would be an advantage to cover it its a choke room

I can't agree with this enough. When I fall into the Support Gunner role I always try to position myself where I can deliver the most suppressive fire in order to SUPPORT the rest of my team and allow them to move up into a more tactically advantegous position. My job is not to rack up kills, it is to provide covering fire, so my biggest challenge is to find the best lanes and fatal funnels. I feel that being a support gunner is one of the harder classes to play correctly.

Now, for other tips.

COMMUNICATION, COMMUNICATION, COMMUNICATION!!!

True, this is essential in any team based game, but I cannot stress how even more critical Communication is in INS. In a game without any type of "radar" to let you know where all your teammates are, communication is the key to victory or failure due to lack thereof.

Another thing is, learn to follow orders.

INS is a game that revolves strictly around teamwork and in a team there will need to be a leader and followers. More often than not, there is always going to be at least one person who knows what is going on and will begin to direct the fight -- listen to this person and follow his directions. Yes, you may not always get the most kills, but that is not what INS is all about. Don't be selfish, follow orders, accomplish objectives, communicate and work as a team.

I'm starting to lose count of how many games I've been in where everyone was talking it up and following orders and we just kept rolling the other team over and over again.

Kill or be killed also killing teammates is looked down upon by most. Unless its Hammer lol (jk).

How to get into B When i get into bravo I am almost always sure I can get in. Here is why and how i go in: use you iron sights look at the boxes they blend in some times. if none there keep going keep on iron sights and turn the corner and look at double doors, kill if anyone there, make your way onto the Bravo platform, look over the corner first then behind both boxes. 9 times out of 10 I will make my way into Bravo even with 3 people because they are probally bunched up or i seen them first. If i dont make it I will probally kill the majority of people their.

TIP I favor the semi-auto militant gun (the one you have to click to shot not the one where you can spray and pray) very powerful. also it has about 20 rounds so if your not in iron sights you can rapidly click if you want and you might get a kill.

ever been in mid throw of a nade and then killed? well thats because of packets that tells the servers what you are doing. you might think you threw the nade before he got the shot off but 9/10 your wrong. He probally pressed it .5 milleseconds before you and thus his packet was sent to the server .5+ milliseconds before you and it registerd his shot not your nade. Even if you COMPLETELY clicked at the same time one packet will get canceld

COMMUNICATION, COMMUNICATION, COMMUNICATION!!!

Agreed :D Communication definetly defines a team with the abillity to win.

Tip: Reload before you run out of rounds :) you should allways have a few extra slugs in your gun, just in case that mean marine goes around D

This is a war simulator, IRL you can shoot thru wood. same as this game you can shoot thru a short thickness of wood or any surface i think to do damage. i use it all the time in dust2 (its the best)

Yep, but you can't seem to shoot through a chain link fence.:)
