Hey guys,

I dont know if somebody here knows an answer for this problem,
but i thought i can always try.

Sow here's my problem. When I start a game called Archlord (MMORPG).
It gives this error:

The instructions at "0x21110f86" referenced memory at "0x0b9c6928". The memory could not be read.

I already tested if my memory was damage with memtest-86, but no errors were found. I looking all over the internet for a solution, I posted on other computer forums, but I can't find anything.

Can somebody help me with this?

Thanks,

BlackBird

Haha the famous memory error! Just restarting the PC or the game NORMALLY fixes it. BUT there are more fixes depending on what point the game crashes.

I tried the following:

Reinstalled the game Archlord. ( Doenst work ).
Reintalled Drivers ( Doenst Work ).
Restart PC ( Doenst Work ).
Reintalled my OS ( doenst work ).

The games crashes on the first loading thing. Just when its almost done... 1...2....3! ERROR:S

Sow anoying. It always worked, i didnt changed any software or hardware, and it just stoped working.

Any other idea's then restart my pc? (to bad it isnt that simple:P ). And I quess im the only one with this problem, everybody can play ARchlord instead of me, sow i aint think the error fix hisself.

Hmmmm. I am just trying to remember how I fixed it. AH do you have a sound card? sounds crazy but just try. Tell me if you got one.

No. Im just jusing the standard one from my motherboard i think.

No problem at all :D

My mate says its hard to fix if you can.

"Đŗ?ģŏņ?ĝ?: You can't really fix it
Đŗ?ģŏņ?ĝ?: It usually means a client is missing or it is hacked
Đŗ?ģŏņ?ĝ?: or a file is missing
Đŗ?ģŏņ?ĝ?: Not much you can do besides figure out what is missing
Đŗ?ģŏņ?ĝ?: It just means the file is unreadable/corrupt/missing"

oke.. but that means reinstall my computer or reinstall the game should work.
And it doenst. And I played this game before on the same OS, with the same software and the same hardware. Sow thats pretty strange.

Has the game been patched? If so, update the game to its most recent release. This error happens when the game tries to reference a piece of memory that does not exist.

You cant run this game without installing the lastest patch. Sow it updates automatic. Sow that cant be the points.

Hi
This may be a silly question but do you run an ATI graphics card? If so, have you upgraded the drivers recently? I've found the latest drivers don't work for some reason with Archlord in full screen mode. Work fine in window mode :(.

Re-installed the 9.7 driver and all is fine again, can't swear whether ones in between work as never used them...
Hope this helps.

just an fyi for the op, i get the same error when playing tf2 since i got an ati card.

i does it randomly and not only at startup. go figure eh? starting to look back at my nvidia days with a sigh. why oh why did i go ati! lol.

There are many issues that can cause the 'Famous memory error'.

-Most common is a simple address mis-handling. (Restart fixes this)

-Second most common is a .dll mis-write or other coding error. (Usually fixed by re-installing the game or program that is having the error)

-Less common is a Windows registry error. (You will have to search your registry for errors, use a registry cleaner/error checker, or allow a support staff member to remote into your machine to search for you.)

-Least likely is a memory controller failure. (Unless you're seriously stressing your machine by extreme overclocking, I highly doubt this is your issue. You would also need to have this problem over several programs to assume a memory controller issue.)

What I would assume is that an improperly installed registry key is not being removed during the uninstall process and is causing a memory hiccup. This is the only thing I can think of that fits all the symptoms posted above.

I hope this helps you. If there is anything else, feel free to contact a Support Staff member (link in staff sigs.) or post-back.

Hey guys

Here a list of things i tried and didnt work:

-reinstall windows: didnt work
-reinstall the game: didnt work
-checking if memory was damage with mem-test 86: memory wasnt damage
-ccleaner: didnt work

I also overclocked my AMD athlon x2 64 4200+ 2.21 Ghz to 2.59 Ghz. Maby thats the problem.
But my temps are good. They dont get higher then 55 decrees for my CPU.

You think the overclocking can be the prob?
And putting the CPU back to 2.3 Ghz or so will that fix the problem? Or is it poseble i did not-fixable damage to my CPU?
