hey does anyone have any idea how i can get my mic to work?it works on teamspeak and xfire but not in-game.

did you remember to bind the key for voice chat in options?

In DOD:S "K" is the default voice chat key. Set your own in the keyboard options. Then, go in game and hold it down and speak. If that doesnt work I have other things to discuss however, its not worth typing if all you need is the key bind.

i have it on my mouse since i have about 4 or 5 buttons on my mouse.could that have anything to do with it?or do i need a driver or something?

Do you pass the Microphone test in steam? Where you read the sentance and set the volume and junk? Also what sound card are you using.

What type of mouse some mouse buttons dont register that will in steam i have seen.

i dont have a sound card,its a microsoft and in-game when i press it the little mic icon pops up but no sound

when you open your steam settings and you do the microphone setup where you adjust the volume and stuff does it play back correctly?

i never tryed,it dosent work on any of my games

lol i looked at my sound settings and my mic volume was muted,great now just to wait for my new mic since my moms stupid cat ate the wires.

the sound settings for steam you must mean? Because if it was muted in windows it is impossible that the other programs worked as you said they did.

yeah it was steam,im an idiot.great i think i found out why my pc is crashing....i think its overheating
