Help with my headset!

Hey I got a turtle beach headset today for Christmas but when i try to use it I can hear out of it but i cant talk into it any help?

did u try mic ports on both front and back of cpu? mine only works on the front. is it usb or no?

hey dont knock it king... my old pc started buggin out on me one day, shut off outta nowhere and wouldnt turn back on, so i kicked it. suddenly it worked again.

of course, the next time i attempted that, i cracked off a big chunk of the case (front of my old case was acryllic) hehe

Right click on your little volume control in your task bar > playback devices > set your headphones as the default.

In addition to Putty's post, make sure your mic is not muted! You can un-mute it if it is muted by going to the same place Putty specified.

Some mic's might not work with your OS.

ya check the sound, but you need 2 make sure under the advanced properties that the mic is indeed muted because i dont think you want to hear yourself. besides you can get on vent & someone there can help u fix the issue w/ your microphone.

and another thing you can do.... is the little speacker on you desk bar thing.... right click that.. then go to adjust audio properties then go to voice and make sure the settings are for you headset ..... and if that does not work..... go with kings idea .... worked for me

its a Turtle beahc Xlc someone told me thats for the x-box but can someone tell me if it works on the computer

I also have a Turtle beach headset and I mainly have them plugged in the back ports of my custom gaming rig. The only problem I had with this was just to make sure that everything was plugged in correctly and that the headset was defaulted.
