CSS and vent

Ok i just installed windows 7, and i never back anything up so i had to reinstall everything etc no problem. however i do not remember all of the old settings that i had previously so i am having 2 problems

#1 Counter-Strike Source: Unable to add any server to favourites. Yes this includes doing it where you click add server, type the IP in and click find server at this IP and then add it that way (which always used to work). Now nothing works. Any ideas?

#2 Ventrilo: Very quiet compared to anything else on my computer, games, videos and music etc. I have the inbound boost to +10 and the SFX volume setting to +800% and its still very quiet compared. except when i put +800% it makes things quite low quality and its pretty noise filled but doesn't raise the volume of voices. Any ideas?

For ventrilo, you can try lowering other application volume using the sound mixer and leaving vent maxed, I do that a lot and it works for me

Your Counter Strike: Source problem: All I think you have to do with that is add the servers you want, then quit out of Counter Strike: Source, then go back in. They should be there. You can add me if you need help with that.

Your Ventrilo problem: This happened to me once. I uninstalled and then reinstalled it. That worked for me. It might have just bugged it during the installation.
