Well i just heard polaityyy's steam account got hacked (I got messaged on steam by Killer_Dave21). Ok i use to be a black hat i know how all this works i bet most of you guys do to (im not a black hat anymore). Im just showing u some ways and how people will take your steam account.
First if your going to download something off the internet use www.novirusthanks.org to scan that file. There might be a keylogger in that file or a virus. When you do download a keylogger they will wait till you login in to steam and then they take your account.
Second don't fall for videos like these: [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4iKc_ToGWx8[/ame]
There just fake videos to get your account. This way is called phishing.
This is how it works you download it you open the exe you put your info in and it goes to there email.
Third when someone messages you (Through steam) about oh go to this site and get free steam games. Dont go to that site its just trying to get your account.
This is how it works u go to the site then you put your info in and it goes to there logs like any other site and boom they have your account.
Forth say you have a good friend on steam and there like oh can i go on your account?!! Just say no this has happened to me and i lost my first steam account
