For the wireless card , no need only if your modem is far of your computer and don't want cable throught the house lol.

So far everyting is ok , you should not run into problems with that build.

What games are you going to run? If its only CS:S you should be fine. Take the wireless card out though.

i have some suggestions.
instead of getting a 5870 get a 5850. it is a better bang for your buck. the added performance is not worth the added price if you ask me, since if you read up on a couple of guides you can easily overclock the 5850 to 5870 speeds.

with the saved money you can upgrade your PSU to a name brand. instead of sunbeam look for something like corsair or hell even OCZ or something. around the 700+ range, that shouldn't cost too much more money (except probably no MIR).

next thing is to get a basic keyboard to save some money, in order to buy an am3 motherboard instead of the one listed (such as THIS) and instead of that 190 dollar dual core, you can get the top of the line quad cores from AMD for 195, HERE. the motherboard is also saving you a little cash too. its a faster clock speed as well as more cores for basically the same price. it would be stupid to pass it up and pay 200 bucks for a dual core with that thing in stores.

again this is just to save you some money, and get the most bang for your buck which these suggestions will do. they also set you up for the future if you ever were interested in researching how to overclock because these components can take an abundance of it.
PS. that CPU comes with a stock air cooler which will be just fine, so no need to spend that extra 30 bucks on the cooler either. and from the reviews and price, i would not buy that LCD temp gauge thing, save the money.


EDIT: and the difference between the version of windows is that the second link is a 3 pack of OEM (meaning you can only install on 1 machine) and the first link is 1 copy of retail version of windows 7 home. OEM is the type of thing you find on prebuilt purchased PCs, where you do not have the disk to do anything about it if anything goes wrong, but the retail you do have the disk for reinstalls or repairs if need be

THIS. OC'ing a GPU is SO MUCH easier than CPU's. It's just slider bars... Your mobo and CPU will be fine, MAKE SURE TO GET ARCTIC SILVER 5!@!@!@!

why do you need that crappy CPU heat-sink you have listed? It wont preform much better than the one that comes with the processor.

Gaming mouse= win, Gaming keyboard= not needed, save cash

Wireless lan card is only needed if you cant plug your pc directly into your modem

1394 card not needed unless you use FIREWIRE ALOT

You really dont NEED max case fans, the ones that come with that case should be adequate

WHY IN the world are you including a 3.25" FLoppy drive in this build??!?!?!?!??! do you really have that many floppy disks?

The DvD drive you listed only READS dvds it does NOT write them, just FYI

I Completely disagree with Junk that the 5850 is almost as good a 5870, may i remind you that when the 4850 came out every one was like "ill never need a new GPU again" then 1 year later all of them are like "man i wish i got the 4870" you can ask PewPewBangBang about this

Don't buy M$ office, just get OpenOffice instead (google it) its free and open source

its a single OEM license so its almost the same as the retail single license only Microsoft gives you NO customer support.

i like the E series from Intel i had an e8400 in my last build and those things FLY. Amazing overclockers. Can reach speeds of 3.7GHz easily, but not on that CPU heatsink you have picked out. You can get a katana3 from scythe for about the same price and it will far out perform that heatsink.
