When Starcraft 2 Comes Out...

Would it be possible to start an eGO clan on battle.net 2.0? They will have built in features for clans and to have rankings and stuff for the members. We could have a nice team, do scrims and participate in clan wars.

I'm a huge fan of Starcraft and I play it competitively all the time (I'm not that great though! ) But when Starcraft 2 comes out I hope to hone my skills and lay some smack down on noobs on battle.net ;D

If we had a Starcraft 2 division we could help train new players and play friendly matches vs other members of eGO. There will also be tons of awesome user created custom maps that eGO could play on randomly (Like the zombie mod and stuff like that for CS:S )

Thoughts? Ideas/Suggestions?

I think if enough people in eGO played SC2 that it's possible to get a SC2 division. I'm just saying this cuz when SC2 comes out, I'm not gonna be playing much CS:S or DoDS or TF2 or anything

I would imagine that there would be an eGO sanctioned clan, though I doubt there would be a actual division.

I think it would be good to set up something like we have for a lot of the MMO's the eGO members play, but as for an actual division I am guessing that would be up to the council.

It would be great to get a bunch of eGO members together, but a division seems unlikely. I still play some starcraft and warcraft 3 (DOTA). If you wanna play let me know!

Although it is not a FPS game I would be a huge supporter of a SC2 division of eGO!!!

There's no servers for SC2 thats why we dont support MW2. Same will go for SC2. However Im sure whenever it comes up youll be able to go in Vent and find people to play with and team with, etc.

But in Starcraft 2/Battle.net 2.0 you will be able to have a clan/guild system and you will have your own channel that you have full control over. You will be able to have different levels of clan members like in WC3 battle.net where you had Members, Officers, and Leaders. I'm not completely sure how battle.net 2 is going to work because they are going to be using it for all of their games... WoW, SC2, Diablo 3 and other future titles. So I imagine they are going to blend the guild system in WoW with the clan system from Warcraft 3 and add new features also. Blizzard has said they want to make it have a lot of social networking features, so even though you don't host your own server you still have full control of members in eGO that are on battle.net. I dunno, just a thought. Maybe eGO can look at it when it is released and see if it will work.

well, when it does come out, it will be around jan-mar. still not to sure, but those dates are the ones looking the most promising right now. because most of the work is pretty much done on the game, only a few tweaks here and there.

i hope it really is good for such a long wait XD

and they better not EVER have steam required like cod6.

warcraft 3 has been around since i was a freshman in high school... 9 years ago, and people STILL play it. And some people still play starcraft. I think it would really be in eGO's best intrest to put some time and effort into SC2!!
