College plans....

So, its about time to be sending in my applications out to colleges and get ready for the end of senior year in high school. I was wondering if there was anybody else out there who is getting ready to go to college this year, and if so, where are you going and what are you going to major in?

I'll go first.
Im going to be going to a community college here in Northwest Indiana for an associates degree in computer security and then i will be transferring to a larger university for a Bachelors in computer information systems
 
Ill add to this...Im going to Point Park University for Stage Management this upcoming fall. Probably double majoring in Stage Management and Music Ed.
 
Im going to Bowling Green SU for a bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management with a specialization in logistics. However Im thinking of going into International business with the above stated as my area of expertise in Int'l business.
 
still haven't made a final commitment but I've been accepted into the BS program for computer science at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. still waiting on a few more, namely Olin College of Engineering, Harvey Mudd College, Carnegie-Mellon University and Rice University.
 
I am in the military, so I gotta take 5 classes through a college here called Park University to get my Associates in Criminal Justice, then I will be attending BYU to get my Bachelor's in Criminal Justice, then back again to get an Associates in Engineering of some sort.:D I love free tuition!
 
I'm already in college, but I'm at University of Texas at Dallas. Majoring in Mechanical Engineering.

if i don't get in the University of Virginia, Western Carolina, Winston-Salem State University, and North Carolina Agricultural And Technical State University (Greensboro)

Just switch Bowling Green to Arizona State and that is literally the exact same thing I'm doing.
 
I'm already in college (actually wrapping up grad school). Went to DeVry for my undergrad in Tech Management and going to Keller Graduate School for my Masters in Network and Communications Management.
 
Me too...my word of advice is that don't be surprise down the line if you change majors. It's perfectly natural. I was originally deadset on becoming a marine biologist, and eventually down the line I ended up finding out that it wasn't for me. Ended up not going to college for a year but I continued when I found out what really interested me and I ended up doing better in college and got to the point I'm in now. Just don't quit and you'll be set. :)

I currently am attending California University of Pennsylvania for a BS in Education to teach Tech. Ed. Anyone in the Pittsburgh area hit me up on a pm, i might be able to arrange a meetup or something.
 
I just started college about 3 weeks ago. I am attending the University of Phoenix, and i am getting my associate in information technology.

I'm at the University of Pittsburgh studying mechanical engineering; good luck with CMU, Endiment. It's a great school, and I did get in, but I picked Pitt because I was told to go to CMU for graduate school rather than for both undergrad and graduate school, by a CMU professor.

But if you can do it, congrats. You won't hear from them for a while though, or at least I didn't until March/April or so, if I remember right. CS is a TOUGH major to get into there (not that any are easy, of course!)
 
I went and graduated from Purdue University. Right near ya, Stranger.

BTW, the average college student changes their major 3 times before graduating. The record I've seen is 7 times, and the longest amount of time I've seen a full time student stay in school is 7 years (Ironically, my RA when I was a freshman. I graduated the semester after he did; he changed from a liberal arts major to aeronautical engineering his junior year).

P.S. Purdue is one of the best engineering schools in the nation (but it also has a great management/accounting program for undergrad and grad work which I went for)
