Tired of waiting for D3?

Checkout Torchlight! :)

Just wanted to see others opinions of Torchlight. I've been playing it for a few days now (Since it was recently on sale for $5) and am enjoying it. All the good stuff from D2 plus many improvements. It's helps that many of the same developers of D2 worked on Torchlight.

My only complaint is that it is not multiplayer. I could see it becoming multiplayer in the future though.

Anyone else play it? Thoughts?

I haven't played it yet, but I know it was created from most of the old Diablo 2 team. Also, they are planning on adding multiplayer to it.

I should have bought it when it was cheap, i've been playing the demo for a day now, and want to buy it. It really good for a low staffed and decently low budget game. Its Kinda like FATE: undiscovered Realms by Wildcard or Wildcoin or whatever. Its good and i would recomend on the next sale that anywho who likes diablo with 100+ dungeon lvls buy it.

I keep hearing really good things about this game. My fault for waiting until its no longer on sale :)

I bought it. I tried it for about five minutes on my netbook, but the lowest resolution combined with ~10fps was a burden.

My video card comes in tomorrow, so I'm giving it a whirl this weekend.

The more I play it, the more i could swear the developers heard our complaints about D2 (like not being able to quickly do a treasure run, having to go back to town all the time, only being able to enchant/embue one item, accidentally drinking health/mana potions, open portals not being able to be saved, etc) and fixed them in Torchlight.

I'm really enjoying this game. =) My expectations for D3 just went way up.

Torchlight is alright; a little repetitive =X
I believe that if i had tried a demo for it, i wouldn't have bought it.

Diablo is better, same with other RPG's

They've made us waiting for tooo long. Don't they afraid that fans will leave them? I started feeling a little upset.

its not a bad game at all, im playin the demo, its pretty cool, but is it gonna get multiplayer support or something to make it have more playability?

I played Torchlight and personally loved it. I'm looking forward to Torchlight 2 as well :D I know a guy who got into the D3 beta and he seemed to like it. He had no pictures/videos to show me but gave me his word it's worth the wait. I guess we'll all be the judge of that soon....maybe...-.-

I was lucky enough to have a friend gift me Torchlight when it was on sale. Haven't touched it in a month or two, but when I did play it regularly, it was really fun. The game concept is along the lines of Diablo 2, but has a WoW touch to it also. You don't have to complete the quests to advance through the game as they're entirely optional. Of course, completing the quests yield a reward and it is worth doing them.

The game has many of the same features, such as health and mana potions, home teleport and identify scrolls, but what RPGs don't have these features? If you've played the game Fate, you will instantly understand Torchlight. Torchlight has the same basic components as Fate.

I give both Torchlight and Diablo 2 a 5/5 for being great and entertaining games. Can't wait for the release of Diablo 3!

I played the demo and the game play did seem close to that of Diablo, but it is just a little too "cartoony" for my taste. Which is also what I'm afraid of when D3 comes out, but there will be no hesitation to buy that :D

Torchlight is great! Although the graphic is someway simple and story is also simple. I think maybe Torchlight2 will be better than Diablo3.
