BEST MOVIE EVER!!!

In my oppinion it was well worth the $12 to see it. Any of you seen it yet? If you haven't you need to. :)

THAT MOVIE WAS AMAZING.

The normal 3D sucks. See it in IMax. The quality is so much better.

Im still not paying to 12 bucks to see a futuristic rip off of dances with wolves.

It wasn't the best of James Cameron's storylines but it was still a good movie. The 3-D visuals were spectacular, although it was more visual enchancement than actualy 3-D effects for most of it.

It was awesome.
The 3D-effects were not so in your face and mostly concentrated on immersion, making you feel like you were on there, on Pandora.
I've heard people complain about the story being laughable and predictable but QQ, bad plot =/= bad execution. The plot is poor but the way it's presented in makes it stand out.
You owe it to yourself to check this one out. I loved it.

Exactly. I felt as if I was with the Na'vi, fighting for my land. ;)

Ill probably look at it like Matrix Revolutions...

Cool effects but a horrible storyline and plot.

The plot isn't horrible and no where near as bad as the Matrix Revolution. The issue with Avatar is that the story has been told countless times before and in many instances has been told better than Avatar's.

My issue is that Cameron sat on the script for about a decade and apparently didn't make any revisions to improve it.

The films not a complete disaster, but it's also not in my top 3 Cameron films.

Remember back in the 80's, when Kiss performed at the Super Bowl, and everyone had to go to 7-Eleven to get those weird red/blu plastic glasses so when you watched it on TV it would be in 3-D? And there was that part were the camera did a close-up of the drummer, and he pointed the drumsticks at you?

yeah, 3D has come a long long way.

Even without the dimensional depth effects, it's still a good movie. Not a great movie, but good. I think the problem is, when the masses declare a movie to be 'awesome!', the glass-half-empty crowd feel the need to express their opinion

Pretty much, the back lash on Avatar is getting pretty brutal.

Went and saw this today friends in iMax... Amazing!

There are no dull parts, it's constantly full of action, didn't even feel like three hours.

Well im sure there was some pretty bad back lash against camerons top grossing movie of all time as well, Titanic but backlash against Avatar? Doesnt really matter, the masses have already spoken and this is from newsweek,

It took The Dark Knight seven months to gross $1 billion worldwide. It took Titanic nearly three months. Avatar has pocketed the same amount in a cool 17 days. The market pressure to release a film on DVD means movies aren't in theaters for seven to eight months anymore, as Titanic was. In Avatar's case, it doesn't need that much time: the heavy lifting is done, and after a scorching three-week kickoff, there's just (just!) over $800 million to go to beat Titanic's record.

sooo $2billion for a $300 million film aint bad and sure the movie might cost more to see and inflation and what not but overall the numbers pretty much speak for themselves how great the people think it is.

Two Billion in seventeen days, a little insane don't you think.

Yeah already reached 1 billion , estimation is 1.8 , as far for the movie , the story was easy to guess , hollywood style meh.

But the graphic and details were so much great generated that you really thought you were there.

But i was disappointed that humans have so much desavantage , really if we were in 2150 we would easy kill them by a single atomic bomb... anyway.

Neytiri is my favorite from na'vi , even if they didnt focus on others.

I loved Avatar. Sure, it was a long movie but it definitely kept you entertained.

He didn't want to change anything, because he liked it the way it was. He wrote the script in 1994, and couldnt make the movie until the technology was up to speed.

It really makes me mad when people say its like Pochontis (sp?) in space. Not even close.. well sure, the Na'vi have indian in their characters, but really, put everything in perspective.
