I just want to point out that while it would be AWESOME if eGO let us do an official fleet, if not that's ok. We can still make a fleet together and even if it doesn't have the eGO title it can still have the eGO spirit.

Yeah I'm definitely down for that, Spitfire. Btw one of my buddies is a tac officer in a science vessel and it's pretty nasty from what I've seen, however I love my escort.

Also if anyone is interested and trying and couldn't get in the beta, I have a spare key that I got from my pre-order (I ended up signing up to open beta before I pre-ordered, in case you're wondering.) So if anyone's interested, contact me.

Yeah I don't think it's too hard to make. You talk to a lady who is right next to the bridge officer trainer.

I got my science vessel finally, though ironically I logged off right after I got it (time) and I haven't had a chance to get back in. Hopefully checking it out tonight.

I just pre-ordered. Went with the Amazon.com offer. That's right, Borg Bridge Officer for me!

After playing a little bit with the Science ship I'm almost certain it's the route I'll be going. Although a Tactical Character in a Science ship (what I currently have) is pretty fun too.

Two days left for the open beta. I'm trying to un-attach myself from my current ship and crew because of the wipe that will happen, but I'm excited for the head-start period, not to mention my Borg Bridge Officer.

We're going to have to make some noise to get Romulans playable. D'Deridex Warbirds baby!

Less than 9 grade bars to go! I guess I'll have it finished tonight. Since work puts me far from playing as of now.

Well, even if I get to play a little tomorrow when I get home from work I don't think I'll get too far.

I'll end my open-beta time at Lt. Commander 2. Very happy with my science ship. I even had an idea to fight Klingon Bat'leh's in PvP, but in the new tier they all have plasma weapons instead. Oh well, we'll try it during head start!

I havent been so enticed bu the new qualities in a game this one has to offer.

I haven't had as much as fun when i first got SoW and Teleport with my druid on EVERUQEST.

I was like damn, this game is gonna be tight.

So it's gonna be all 1 big server ?Are we going to be able to form like fleets and armada's together?

......and even then should we start getting a list of people and what they are going to play.


2:Class/Racial Combos (Input on ships helps too,like what are gonna be common group interactions that benefit most, etc).

I'm leaning towards a betazoid science officer.

What do you guys think of the racial / class options and in relation to your ship ?

Any thoughts ?

That is a good idea, Firesauce, about making a list of all the people who are confirmed gonna be playing after launch. There are guilds in the form of fleets, and currently I'm in one right now with a bunch of pretty mature people who are really chill. The name of the fleet is United Fleet Operations, and a lot of them are planning on playing after launch, so if anyone is interested in joining, please send me a PM or something. As far as racial combos go, I'm going to have to read up a bit on it (I'm still a bit of a noob in that respect.) I can tell that currently I'm playing a human tac officer and flying around in an escort and it's pretty nice. I'm definitely going to stick with the tac/escort route. Escort + Attack Pattern Alpha + Cannon Rapid Fire = Dead.

So if anyone is interested in that fleet idea, please let me know.

I'm going to play as Liberated Borg, Tactical with Engineering Bridge Officer Borg.
I'm going to try for traditional Borg abilities, since they already start with 2, a optional 3rd, and the 4th, I'm not sure, probably something to detect cloaked or an offensive ability. I wonder how Efficiency will affect the starships.

First off to create our own fleet we would have to incorporate the name 'EdgeGamers' in it and receive approval from the council.

But it looks like most ppl who are really interested are joining other fleets already and there's not very many of them to begin with.

If someone wants to step up and take the initiative it can happen but I'm too much of a casual gamer to lead the way.

Hey Sturm, didn't you PM a council member and ask about doing an official eGO fleet? What did they say? If you can't talk about it here I understand.

I am tempted to campaign for the name "Star League of Decency" with rules similar to ours here. Start off with only our clan members but then once we get that all established open it up to people in game who are looking for a fleet.

Just thinking out loud. Thoughts?
