VLC for YDL on PS3

[PewPewBangBang]

does anyone have VLC running on yellowdog linux 6.2 for the PS3???

im a linux noob and i did this so i can watch my NTFS movies on my PS3......i don't have to use VLC but any media player that has a ton of codecs and supports most blu-ray stuff/1080p movies downloaded onto an external hard drive would be great

im having trouble trying to install VLC, i keep getting "Cannot open/read repomd.xml file for repository: fedora-extras

i was trying to follow this guide
http://news.softpedia.com/news/How-to-Enable-Video-Playback-in-Yellow-Dog-Linux-6-1-101664.shtml

apparantly works for many ppl but would messing up in the beginning or messing up somewhere make you unable to do it at all?? i keep getting that same error after re-doing it and re-doing it

SOMEONE HELP!!! wanna watch movies on my PS3/big TV

Totem is a built in player in a lot of distro's and should be fine for almost everything. Just let it download the needed codecs.

I've never used Yellowdog so I don't know much about it.

I'd install Ubuntu if I were you. Ubuntu is great.

ill take that into consideration....thought only yellowdog linux worked on ps3 =/

i re-installed YDL so if it doesn't work again after i follow the guide i will use ubuntu which i know VLC has a download pack for on their website
