BF Bad Company 2 PC Beta Discussion Thread

I just went to the BBC2 official beta forums and I read alot of the complaints ppl are having, I know some of the issues are pretty beefy from what I've read. But I want you guys to remember it's still in BETA. Don't give up hope yet.(Not saying that you guys have, but just incase)
 
It wouldnt let me use 'StinkyWizzleteats' for some reason 'Invalid name' not the already in use message :< 'Stinky' was taken, so I ended up with 'Wizzleteats' heh
 
My philosophy is that if you dont even know what a Beta is dont participate... its not a ticket to play the final game for free. You are part of a test on a wide scale to test different hardware, network and gameplay issues/balancing. If you guys want to on the Battlefield Blog theres a list of TONS of stuff they fixed or changed from the PS3 Beta and it will be the same for the PC version.

They already stated that the friends list/server browser ect is an old build and that the final GUI version is nearly optimized, they just need beta INPUT, not complaints.

Basically, I dont want to hear eGO members complaining and throwing fits on these forums or others. Just be thankful you get to help shape the game before its final release.
 
Well.. the game seems okay sometimes when an explosion happens or somethign the game gets real messed up wiht graphics instead of an explosion i see red and tripper colors not sure why also whats your ea acc to add friends the email or..?
 
I've been playing the Xbox 360 demo and from what I played so far it's going to be a great game. The only thing I don't like so far is the lunge with the knife.

Woo! And it says "Click your console" and has PC listed under that :mellow:

same thing happens to me. Im on windows 7 and I dl the game and did the pb test and it all went through just fine. Went to launch the game and it loads to a black screen that says beta in the top right corner then about 3 seconds later it just takes me back to my steam games page. Please help!!
 
Well from what I've played so far, (a good couple hours), this is going to be a great game. I had a few issues getting started, but once I was in game, everything was smooth sailing. The game looks great, and the physics add a whole new level of gameplay.

Only thing I wish for is a prone button. I kept instinctively hitting my "z" key, like BF2, but of course nothing would happen (and then I'd die from not taking cover ;)). I can see why they left it out, though. Dolphin-diving was never really fixed in BF2, and I guess they didn't want to deal with it again.

Overall, this is turning out to be a very exciting title for the PC. As soon as the Steam 4-Pack comes online, I'll be pre-ordering.
 
The only reason why DICE didn't go with prone this time was that it had to do with gameplay balances.
 
what does everyone think of the game? I'm still on the edge of ordering it or not. let me know!!!
 
I loathe the beta with all my heart, because once I load the game, all I see is the loading screen, but I can hear in-game sounds
