Tutorials are a good way to learn actually. Because you do learn how to make certain things, but you can use what you learn, and put it to your own uses. First thing I noticed is the "lag." You did the swirl design part very well. It's a smooth fade. The name is where it fell apart. I count maybe 6 frames you used for when the "High" came in to where it stopped. First you should use a few more frames for that. Also, I'm guessing you didn't tween the frames, you individually key'd the frames. If you did, then you need to do even increments. So move it down say 2 pixels and then insert the key frame, and then move it down yet another two key frames. Now, when you faded in "Contrast." It was very smooth just like the lil swirl designs. In the end, it just drops, and starts over. You want it to hold there for say, 2 seconds for this lil gif.
