Okay I've searched NewEgg, tigerdirect, bestbuy, and other places and I need other people help in case I'm missing something.

I have roughly $550 dollars to spend on a laptop (no netbooks please)

15"-17" inches (14 only if necessary)
Any OS but must be capable of upping to win7
120+ GB HD
3+ GB RAM
Please new, but I will accept refurbished links

Any brand will do, even dell, and please only link to trusted websites (I don't wanna see oh I googled this and saw this)

I've never gotten a laptop before, I know what I'm looking for but I don't know great places to shop.

Oh I was gonna type that forgot... Some gaming not much, maybe some MMO's...but mostly school and work, if no gaming then too bad for me not the end of the world. and thanks for those 2 :)

If you are just doing school work (and already have a gaming rig) I would get a netbook. They work fine for school stuff, have good battery life and are cheap.

I would prefer not to just because I would like to use it for more than just School and stuff eventually... Like compiling my C++ code and stuff, which is not quite as good on a netbook

I've used Visual Basic on my HP Mini 110, only because I had to.

By the way, hey Kamori :) This is DRK.of.AH

Athlon II's are very good for the price. And I had an ATI 3200 onboard graphics which were really nice, so I imagine 4200 is great.

Well I got it and I enjoy it :)... The Onboard did very well, better than my Main Comp's onboard.

Got it for 398 and I find to be well worth it
