Fine......I will make it more Politically Correct.

Simple question do you own a mac yes or no? (please don't make this a debate because its not meant to be and I really want to know who has a mac, and it will get locked...)

I have a Windows 7 64 Bit PC for home gaming usage.

I also have a 24'' iMac for my artistic, photoshop, DreamWeaver kinda machine for mostly media and photos and such.. Use the Imac for work much more and then win7 box at home.

What did you want to know about macs ?

My first computer was a Dell laptop and it was pretty terrible.

I switched to Macbook and although it was very pretty and performance was noticeably increased - the sheer amount of technical problems I encountered with my Macbook made me switch back to PC. The performance was nice as I'd expect it to be at the price tag. But my motherboard melted after a month and my hard drive melted twice. All within a year of owning. Apple was very quick to repair each free of cost.

I then built my own desktop computer and have to say it's the best computer I've owned.

My mom used to own an iMac and it was really nice but one day is started making weird noises, then eventually ended up in smoke and of course it was right after the warranty expired.

ya i work with mostly macs at/for work a Macbook Pro, a G5 and a quad-core Mac Pro for my main setup.

Pro-Tools is shit for windows and people keep giving me final-cut projects instead of omf's or pro-tools sessions so i need to use final-cut to do basic stuff and export from time to time.

actually correction pro-tools inst shit for windows windows is just shit for anything thing that requires good audio latency and a stable system.

but as far and general use i really do prefer openSuSE as an operating system to any of the OS X's which is what i use for most things non Audio Related (browsing, e-mail etc and all my servers are all openSuSE boxes with out X.

No, but I use Macs at school. They're great for work/school, but not so great for anything else IMO.

I have a iMac 24" and most of the computers in my house are hackntoshed.

iMac 24" October 2008
2.66GHz Intel
4Gb Ram
640GB HD
Superdrive
Nvidia 9400m
OS X 10.6.2
Windows 7 RC1 32bit

I got two Dell Mini 9's in the house, that have Snow Leopard on them, a Dell laptop (was running XP, then Mac OS X Server 10.5, now no OS) and two Dell towers (both running Ubuntu Server, one got converted to Mac OS X Server 10.6, not sure what to use on it now)

Personally, Macs for School, Audio/Video and Pictures, Windows for gaming, and linux for hacking and cracking, is how I roll

My school computer lab has regular iMacs on half of the library, and Boot Camped iMacs on the other half. TF2 on them has been an amazing experience.

used a mac in high school (not mine, my school's) to do digital art but only because I didnt have a copy on my own machine.

I have always owned PC's

Use the 27" iMac at work alot. One of my biggest pet peeves is people telling me that it's overpriced.

i have a 13" macbook pro, ive decided that i can use this as a primary gaming machine, i have an xbox 360 but i feel that i find myself playing computer games more, i can run call of duty 2 and 4 both at high settings with no lag, so i would reccommend it, i suppose it depends whether your a hardcore gamer or not.
