With all the recent talk and demonstrations of bots on TF2 servers, I became pretty intrigued.
What could be funnier than playing a bunch of highly skilled TF2 players (Robots no less) kill each other, actually using weapons like their shotguns?

The answer my friends is, no less;
Setting bots battling as your TF2 background.

That's right.
- Soldier vs. Demo picture getting old?
- Want a background that is never the same each time you log on?
- Playing against bots yourself is time-consuming and boring?
This will cure your problems.

Even if you're un-interested in changing your background this is pretty amazing stuff!

Just thought I'd share :D

Agreed! Now, if only it was 2 fort with the teams knowing defence and offense. Now that could be an amazing bot frag-fest!

Yeah... As amusing as that looks like, it'd probably take me 3 times as long to load the main menu if I got that. xD

hmm i hate playing against bots but for a while i had a quake 3 bot match as my wallpaper on my linux boxes.

so i might do the same for tf2 background

Regarding, "Game will load horrible slow" sort of thinking for people,
Internet said:
Having bots battle in your menu will cause the game to load slower upon initial startup. However, some of this time is made up when you join a server, because it will actually load slightly faster due to most of your resources already being initialized. That?s just something to think about if you plan on using this for a longterm period of time.

Dude, that is hilarious. I'm working on the team compositions right now. I did engy vs engy and they actually built sentry guns and teles. They also ran around trying to wrench kill each other. Pure win.

ya and about game loading just use the map that you play the most for the botmatch that way almost all resources needed are loaded and runtime for the game instead of during the server connect.
