I recently got a new ASUS 4870 1 GD "Dark Knight" graphics card, so I uninstalled all my old graphics card's drivers, uninstalled the catalyst, deleted the device, sweeped with driver sweeper, then restarted.

I installed the card, installed all the goods and had it working perfect, could check my temps, load, fan speed ETC. now Catalyst is telling me its not compatible with the card, so I'm like "well I'll just get the ASUS drivers". It works, I'm like "k its workin now", get home today and I get the same error

Any suggestions besides deleting everything and starting over again?

Not sure, I bought a NVIDIA card and my monitor won't show up when I plug it into the new card. I tried their tech support but they never respond, maybe you could try your brand's tech support.

Just update the drivers. Catalyst Control center automatically updates the drivers without having to uninstall the original ones. Go to this page and select all of your information, then click the driver pack at the very top of the page (It should be called the ATI Catalyst Suite). Then, download it, close Catalyst Control Center if it is currently running, and run the update. No uninstallation necessary.

I think I've figured out the issue, When I swept with driver sweeper I didn't go into safe mode and I presume that they were conflicting.
