It wont work...

i downloaded the game on steam (yes i have Hl2) but whenever i stat it... it starts to load... and then doesn't start...
any answers?

go to the tools tab make sure you have source sdk and insurgency dedicated server dowloaded that might work

Try turning off all music for the game, Options-audio-ingame music should be set to none.

Just a more detailed explanation of what it does.

When i open the game...
It opens with a short video of a circle with a gun inside.
when that finished it pauses
it then goes to a screen of 2 guys (looks like of opposite sides)
this screen is not fullscreen, and says loading in the corner
there are things i can hover my mouse over and seem like buttons, but no words, and nothing happens
It just sits there...

right click on INS in your my games tab-select properties-local files-verify and then defragment your game cache files.

hmmmmm, did you try what ice said? Installing the SDK and the dedicated server?

try these, reinstalling Half-Life 2 and Insurgency or just reinstall INS

hmmm....mayebe its ur graphics card, cause they say that INS has alot of textures.

try right clicking on ins go to properties then set launch options type -novid
if that doesn't work at -autoconfig to after that and if that doesnt work do -novid -dxlevel 60
when you get ingame you can go to options then change your graphics setup

I had the same issue and fixed it by turning of in game steam notifications.
