I got today a brand new Headset from Logitech.I've plugged everything into the right port. They were 2 cables 1 for the headset speakers ad one for the microphone.Although the first time everything was right then I had to restart my computer because of a crash and now I can't hear anything from the headset speakers although the mic is working.
I also want to talk to ventrilo with my mic but I don't know how.If someone can help me it would be appreciated.
Thank you in advance

Via ports. The first time everything was alright after a while but now I can't hear anything. My computer case has 3 ports for the sound. If I connect the two cables from the headset I can't hear from the headset speakers. If I connect my Default speakers I can hear sound and me talking in the mic.So my current problem is that I can't hear form headset speakers.Just added some infos :)
Thx for the ventrilo

Are you running Vista 32 bit? I know Vista has some *SERIOUS* microphone issues, it's done the same for me and plenty of people i know. It doesnt seem to recognise unplugging the headphones from the jack, and then the sound seems to stop completely

Have you checked to see what the default output is? in Volume Mixer it should say which it's putting out to, Make sure the headset is un-mute

Right click you speaker icon in the task tray, go to output devices, and set you new headset to default.

I had same issue, and surprisingly it was that the volume button on the computer was turned down. Mic was up and head set was up, but the actual computer was down. It sounds too simple but check it if you haven't already.
