Forums glitch?

Sometimes while I'm looking at a thread on our forums it will send me to a pop-up about needing security (as if, I have Mcafee and AVG). When this happens I exit out as quickly as I can and start a scan with both anti-virus systems. I am assuming that this happens from some kind of ad-ware but the searches never find any kind of malicious files. I honestly don't think the forums would send me to a fake anti-virus website. Can anyone clarify for me, or send me in the right direction for an answer? (The anti-virus it tries to send me to is called aVirus lol)

It does this to me also I just close because I have the government version of Symatec or whatever, but I believe its just a popup from the website that does to alot of people.

ok phew. I was scared I was infected and that AVG and Mcafee both couldn't find it.

yehh there is an ad around somewhere lots of people have told me about it. iv not had it so im not even sure what it is

Yeah, it just sends you to a fake website that is obviously fake because all the random letters and numbers. Then a few popups show up and then it redirects you to a fake My Computer screen.

Its an ad and I reported it to kendle and he is going to have it removed.

Ive had it quite a few times. Mcafee will pick it up on your system if you do manage to get it. Instantly quarantined.
