Out of these three motherboards.........which one performs the best and would be the best to buy/your pick etc...

EVGA 3x SLI - This is a recertified version but that should be fine right? its $40 cheaper

Asus P6T - Most expensive of the three but Asus is almost always good

Foxconn BloodRage GTI - Seems like the best one, enthusiast overclocking mobo, even comes with a separate Sonar Xi-FI card

Out of these three the BloodRage is my pick so far........i've heard of great overclocking on it, looks are a winner, the Sonar Xi-Fi card is a plus and i heard it was good.

I like the EVGA just for it being an EVGA and the 3-way SLI does x16/x16/x8 unlike other X58 boards.

I like the Asus just because its an overall solid board and they make great stuff but it's not an ethusaist OC board like its older brother the P6T deluxe which is out of my budget.

So tell me which one would be your pick and reasons for it etc...

Is there a difference between the three EVGA 3x SLI boards??
 
+1 for BloodRage, Foxconn makes some crazy mobo's for OC'ing, and thats one of em! :)

Reasons: Black and Red color combo, and OC ability > other options showed
 
I have a p6t Deluxe which is very similar to the p6t.

I love everything about it, except for one small detail. When OC'ing with the p6t deluxe it is notorious for turbo throttling the i7. Which means you will set your multi to 21 in the bios, but whey your chip is nearing its max TDP it will start throttling your multi down to 20 which knocks your OC down by ~200Mhz .Keep in mind though this is only when you get into the 4.0+GHz range, normally it is not a problem, but if you plan on getting the most out of your i7, it is good to consider.

There is a fix for it, but it requires flashing a special version of the bios.

Besides that I love my p6t deluxe, therefore I would highly recommend the p6t...
 
yea......if i had money for the P6T deluxe i would definitely get it due to its amazing performance and all around beastlyness

Im most likely gonna go with the BloodRage though.....its truly geared towards OC'ing and there is nothing that bothers me about it, probably Firewire is the only thing but im fine with it. The price is also great and the sonar xi-fi is gonna help me alot cuz i don't have a dedicated sound card right now and its holding my steelseries headsets back a bit.
 
It'd be between the Asus P6T and the EVGA x58 for me.

EVGA has 5 X58 boards. The Classy, the X58 3x SLI, the Micro, the LE, and the 4 way SLI Classy.

On newegg i see 3 differect X58 3x SLI alone........could you tell me the difference??

I wouldn't mind getting EVGA but i've heard of some OC'ing problems on it

Well actually only 2 of them......one is $300 and one is $260 and the one i chose is just a recertified
 
That EVGA board is awesome... My friend has it and it is a beast.. Never heard of the Foxxconn one, but i know the P6T is really good.

They are the same boards with different warranties. The $260 is either one year or 3 year, cant remember, and the $300 is lifetime. EVGA boards are excellent overclockers(Their new boards, P55 and X58, not the old 6xx and 7xx). I know someone running an i7 860 W/ HT at 4.65 stable 24/7. They have their RAM running @ 2200Mhz. the board is the EVGA P55 FTW.

okay........i will think about getting the EVGA 3x SLI board then

Recertified is fine though right?? save like $40-50 and its been tested/refurbished

Yea but truthfully.......evga doesn't like come with accessories lol just some cables here and there.

I looked at the different priced boards......on newegg they all say 1 year limited parts and labor warranty??? only recertified is 90 days

You think its worth it to dish out another like $40 just for brand new one???

Edit: nvm looked up on google and the only difference is warranty

The newegg warranty for both is 1 year. But if you register the board with EVGA, you will get the corresponding warranty.
 
Yea ill probably take the Recertified EVGA now with the $20 MIR to make it $200 flat.......seems like a good deal, hopefully the board is good even though its recertified and i get some sick OC's on it.

Now any recommendations for a sound card or is onboard audio good enough these days that i won't really notice the difference? I have Steelseries Siberia Full-size gaming headset if you need to know.

Noctua NH-D14

OCZ 6gb DDR3 1600

i7 920

All for around $670 minus the $350 im getting for my old rig so i only pay up like $320 for upgrading......not bad

Now all i gotta do it upgrade my GPU after this to the Nvidia Fermi which will be amazing hopefully....maybe even SLI or Tri-SLI cuz i can do it now, of course not all at once, that would be too expensive :)

Should i go for a brand new EVGA 3x SLI board or just stick with the recertified and save $40 and risk not getting the accessories and such??
 
Personally, I buy motherboards new and only new. Same goes for power supplies. Only think I really buy re-certified is graphics cards It's up to you though.
 
I always go re-certified if possible. My reason being is that anything that is recertified goes through more stringent testing then a new board ever does. You know it is guaranteed to work and it wont be DOA, because it has been tested and certified to be fixed and working.

Hope that makes sense....

yes i understand...........i may just go new though, a lot less trouble somewhat. Recertified have problems also sometimes.

Newegg says the EVGA 3x SLI can do x16/x16/x8 ???? are they wrong?? only boards with the NF200 can do so if im not mistaken
