I havent done anything to my comp (nothing i know of) and maybe its a result of the sever change, but ive noticed that my FPS has gone down and everything is pretty slow if there is alot going on on screen,

ive tried those console commands posted here and they didnt work, its ran fine before and i really dont think i have done anything to change any settings.

Also its not my computer, its more than capable of running css lol.

I'd really like some help, it sucks having things go all choppy.

and i posted this in the wrong area lol, i thought i was on the tech help section.. sry, can it be moved please?

What are your specs?

You should also check that some CSS video settings didn't get turned up to high.

I can run it on max no problem, and ive im running it on the same resolution that i have always ran it on

Asus G50VT-X5
Manufacturer:
ASUSTeK Computer Inc.
Processor:
Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU P7450 @ 2.13GHz (2 CPUs), ~2.1GHz
Memory:
4094MB RAM
Hard Drive:
308 GB
Video Card:
NVIDIA GeForce 9800M GS

1. Try updating nVidia drivers (DL from nVdida site)

2. if that doesnt work, maybe reinstall CSS.

3. Check for viruses (run a virus scan)

ya because fps is all graphical lag, meaning system issues, mainly your gpu...make sure its not running too hot as mentioned as well as the drivers as mentioned. if it isn't the software its the hardware and visa versa.
has this happened or do you notice a difference with other games as well? or is your comp slow with all programs now etc or just css

As of now im pretty sure its just css, i downloaded some new drivers and re installed the game, ill test it out here shortly, the comp isnt running hot either, cept this labtop usually runs fairly hot when im playing games.

Well, its a laptop and your CPU will only use 1 core during CSS. CSS picks it up as a single core running at ~2.1 GHZ, so you can't get full potential out of it.

ya if it is CSS then a reinstall would solve the issue, tho you may need to reinstall steam completely if you're that certain it isn't your computer, just as a last measure

Try dry updating steam, deleting your clientregistry.blob files in your steam directory. Also check for updated drivers, do a full system virus scan, defragment your computer. When i had this problem i overclocked my system and it runs fine now, though overclocking a system can lead to major hardware malfunctions if not done correctly.

yea ive been warned not to overclock this comp lol

I reinstalled CSS and downloaded some drivers for the video card, everything seems to be working ok, for now lol.
