So I built my first computer...

It is an Intel i7 860 based computer with the Intel DP55WG board.
I have 4GB DDR3 1600 Ram
400GB WD Hard Drive and a 40SSD WD Hard Drive
I have a PNY Quadro 440 GPU which works... But is not new.
And I have a 500 watt power supply, and a couple of awesome fans that are quiet!

I need to get a sata DVD RW/Everything drive, That will be next weeks purchase...

It went together pretty well...

Complete it with Windows 7 Ultimate and All I need to do is finish up installing all the drivers...

I spent less than $400 on this and bought everything new besides the Hard Drives and the Video Card...

I am using this beast for audio engineering, Mainly running a Pro Tools and Cubase Rig.
I also game with it... Mostly CS:S. I do plan on using it for more in the future...

you should of got the ADM black edition quad core its less than the I7 and it performs better ;O

Whel the reason why I got the i7 860 is that Intel was running a Promotion for all retail chain salesman, I got the Processor and the Board for $230, Great Deal!

As far as the GPU... I will have to let you know how it performs with this setup but from what I hear from the other Easy Techs I work with, It should be a great Combo. I know I can do much better but I had this card in my last computer and I am on a budget...
Intel says that the CPU actually has More to do with great graphics and an average card more than a great GPU does.... Ill have to take thier word for it.

Oh and I have Windows 7 Ultimate and Window Office 2010 Ultimate... Both of those... Free From Microsoft...
Windows and Intel are awesome to their retail employees!!!

And I am getting a free Sata DVR Super Multi with Lightscribe....
Not really a huge deal, however free is great!

Lol.
A great GPU is what makes a gaming rig great.
You don't need an i7 or i5, people on here game just fine with their slightly dated processors.
That's called selling a product. For gaming, GPU > CPU

NOW I absolutely agree with you!
I just purchased an ATI HD4650 GPU because BC2 would not start up and run properly...

Now my computer has no FPS lag at all....
Im getting almost 300 FPS on this new card....
compare that to my previous 30!

I really am happy with the new purchase thanks for the input,
even if it did take a while...
