resolution change?

i changed the resolution in dod. and now i just see a black screen. i reinstalled dod and that didnt work. then i reinstalled steam and the game and the black screen comes up. i hear the music though. cs works fine because i never changes the resolution. I there a way to change the games resolution outside the game maybe by the steam program file?

I believe you can use the -h & -w arguments in startup options to set resolution.

ex: -h 1020 -w 1280

To use startup options in source games: right click on the game in your list, hit properties & then click the startup options button on the window that comes up
