i am looking for a new computer monitor,

i currently have a 19" Acer Monitor, ya its small but it gets the job done, but at work we just got 22" LCD 1080p monitors omg i am in love with them lol,

and i am looking for a new monitor 24" LCD and blueray 1080p :) and i seen the prices about 250$ i was wondering if any1 has seen specs like this about 150-200$? idk but do you think thats good specs for a monitor?

I personally had some pretty good 20" for a few years, they were about $300ish each back then and they were pretty damn good for movies/games/etc. With the new market though it really just depends on how much you are willing to shell out. You can get some pretty good monitors for $200ish but they are usually using the lower quality panel tech (i.e. TN) that do not display nearly as well as IPS panels for instance. If you want an exceptional blu-ray experience you might need to shell out a lot more.

Bottom line is that for $250 you can get a decent quality image but the sharpness and color gamut will not be exceptional. To get something that will blow you away for your movies It would cost 2 to 3X that price.

This is a great thread discussing cost vs. performance for a monitor well suited for your purposes.

Found this one at Microcenter if u have one closeby with 2048 x 1152 Resolution for $190

Or an Acer for 169...

Just googled the 2048x1152 rez Samsung and its supposed to be best at desktop resolution and games would require hacked .ini files to work properly so scratch that one.

i have that ^, looks very nice for the price, however there appears to be an HP monitor of similar size:

The HP would probably be better picture wise, but both monitors are good, and if you still want a 24-25 inch screen:

that might be good. These arent as good as HP monitors by they are still by far the best bang for your buck and they look great.

24" ASUS
I have this, and let me to you, it is amazing.
Brilliant color quality, very bright, the resolution is so crisp.
5/5
