Hey guys,

I keep getting this blue screen that tells me that to prevent more damage, they have to shut down. You guys probably know the problem, so do I. It's a virus.. My security program is Symantec. It's really good and when I let it run a scan, the outcome is negative. No Virusses. Any other suggestions that it could be?

Thanks for the help ;)

No I'm not sure it's a virus :) Maybe it's because my graphics are too high? But.. that's seems like a total bs.

Is this the Data execution protection your talking about that closes the program for protection? I would grab another Antivirus and do another scan as some programs will find things others may not. A good free one to try out is Avast!

What makes you say it might be the GPU ? what do you mean your graphics may be too high, do u mean overclocked?

Blue Screen can be caused by a multitude of reasons. If you can provide us with the error code of the blue screen it would help out.

I think its data execution prevention, I've completely forgot how to disable it because I did it like 2+ years ago.

Can't be sure though, you really didn't give us much to move on...

Get with a support staff member. The link is in our signatures. We will be more than happy to connect to your machine and take a look around.

Without more specific information such as dump files or error codes, this is all I can offer.

As far as Norton / Symantec goes, it is complete garbage. There are many other options. McAffee and norton are the worst and most expensive on the market. If you are willing to change AV, I'd be happy to make some suggestions that suit your lifestyle and computing preferences.

Guys I got the problem. I put my graphics up way to high. My PC was having troubles running it.

Thanks for you guys being here for me in time of need ;) It wasn't a major problem after all.
