Hey i need help...plzz

I was in your server and i got muted for cussing. and then perma banned and then i posted and it was moved to 2 weeks. I thank you for that, but theres another problem. The admin that banned me i think.... When he muted me i think it messed with a file.. and now i cant talk any where, the file i have in my steam folder is voice_ban.dt file idk what it is but i cant talk in steam, and my mic works fine. i checked it in control panel. And i would like if someone to look in to this. Please

The mute system command that we use as admins does not mess with anything on the client side (*your side*). If you have a voice_ban file it has to do with steam config files, nothing that we placed there. I would look into trouble shooting your headset/mic first and the seen what is wrong with your componets. Long story short -- its nothing the admin did.

something like this happened to me a long time ago in DoD. Unfortunately I can't remember how I took care of it.

Have you checked your ingame settings? Like under the voice tab? Maybe you have voice disabled or transmit volumes low or something?

usually a reinstall of DOD will most of the time cure most problems within games

moxie - as has been stated if someone muted you on one of our servers it doesn't mess with your client at all. as soon as you leave the server and then rejoin at a later time it allows you to speak on the mic again. it's probably best at this point to try backing up your files and either reinstalling the game or reinstalling steam.
