i updated my comp to windows 7 and did that windows rating thing and i noticed all my other specs are all high and good enough for gaming but then i got a 4.8 rating on disk transfer rate. I have 2 drives and i boot of of a old drive thats probobly 7+ years old and my other drive thats big and holds all my game data n stuff is newer and faster. Is this going to slow me down when i game?

for gaming and general use you don't need too fast of drive anyways 5,200 rpm to 7,200 rpm should do fine the really fast drives are more geared to video and audio work where a 5 minute session can easily be upto 60gb's of data that need's to be read from the drive and written in real time.

I have a 7.5k HDD and I scored a 5.9. If you're looking for performance out of a hard drive, you'll need to go to an SSD.

As far as it hurting your gaming, no you shouldn't see any real problems. Loading might be slower, but that's about it.

7,500 HDD? What? 7,200rpm HDD? 7,200MB? What?

I have a TB 7200RPM HDD, doesn't really matter, but it seems fine.
