***I know there's another post below asking for laptop cooling help, but I didn't think it would've been nice to take over it***

I use an HP laptop (don't dog me for this -__-") and it's notorious for overheating right above the hard drive at my left palm. My laptop will sometimes just go into hibernation when it gets too hot (at least I think that's why) and it's getting on my nerves.
I've been meaning to get a laptop stand or cooling mat and want some recommendations on what the eGO community likes or dislikes. I have about max $40 to spend on one.

Just before you go and buy a cooling pad, how do you use it, like, do you use it on a wooden desk, or on your lap. The other thing is, try blowing out all the dust with compressed air.

It's mostly on a desk, usually wood or plastic. I'm in college so I'll sometimes be using it on lap in lecture or in the dorm lounge. I think I'd like a stand just to help with posture and back/eye strain. I'm about 5 ft. 10 so it sucks looking down at the screen all the time.
My laptop has a 5 year warranty, which covered me when it overheated last time and destroyed my graphics card on it.
