HDR not available in ins

Just reinstalled windows 7. upgraded out of the beta I was using since last year. I updated my drivers and everything but my Full HDR isn't available in the menu under my graphic settings and it's not working on the maps that have it. "Bloom (if avail)" is there but even with that seleted I'm getting no HDR effects. sup?

You'll need to be running with DirectX 9c for this to work.

In order to check your directx level, check the method above, or run dxdiag.exe (Run a system search to find this)

In game it says i'm running direct x 8 and 9 for hardware/software levels. And dxdiag says I've got directx 11.

Right click on Insurgency in your My Games list, click Properties, then go to Launch Options. Enter in this: "-dxlevel 100" That forces it to direct X level 10 at least.

dont' force dxlevels that way it will reset all of your options every time you open the game. instead open console and type mat_dxlevel xxx or include that in an autoexec file

its possible insurgency doesn't have hdr available? i dunno haven't played the game much, but the graphics don't seem like anything to write home about. would make sense to me

it has full hdr but that olny works when the game is running in dx 9

why would you force it to 10 when the engine only supports up to 9

-dxlevel90

to the startup parameters.


and really if source dosnt run at dx 9 be default it ussuly means your card is old with slow or bad dx 9
