Computer is randomly just turning off after every couple of hours sometimes it turns off after 30mins sometimes after 9. Any1 have any ideas whats going on I don't think its over heating.

well theres several possibilities, it could be overheating, try checking your cpu temps with cpuz and gpuz.

please reply with your temps and what processor and gpu you have.

Also, try updating the drivers about your pc. Doing that may also fix the problem.

Another thing is try looking at event viewer. Its a program that comes on windows that tells you if a program is causing an error. just search for it in windows and youll find it.

Also check your powersupply its the most common hardware for a computer to crap out on ya =) Most powersupplys have a 100,000 hour limit before they are prone to die on you check out how old your powersupply is

Back around Nov of last year, I had the same problem with the rig i had just built (back in July).

It turned out the cable running from the PSU to the motherboard was slightly lose, causing unpredictable power losses.

Check the power button on your rig. Sometimes it can become loose or constantly pressed down so it will randomly cut power like you are trying to hard reboot it.

I have a desktop, My cpu is : Intel Core Duo E6600 not sure what my gpu is how do i find that? and how much are battery supplys, I'm lookin for a cheap one =\

Temperature: HD0:50c
Core0:50-61 C
C0re1:50-60 C
Info from speedfan.

My 10 year old power supply still works ;)

well the problem is we dont know if thats the problem with your pc or not. Its not worth investing in a new psu if its not the problem. Use the programs i posted before to tell if its an overheating problem.

Also try updating the drivers first. youll want to do this first before you sink money into a powersupply.

This one could be many things. I have dealt with the issue more than 10 times on multiple clients of mine.

Start by testing the cheapest parts first. If you have extra PC's at your house, strip those parts to test in yours to narrow things down.

If CPUz turns up with good temperatures then I would start with testing the power supply and move on from there.

I think it actually might be a problem with the electricity here, Lights have been flickering every time the computer restarts, tvs dont turn on and other wierd stuff. I'm going to try and get it checked out.

well that could be the problem then. get your electricity checked out then. maybe try taking some stuff off of the circuit your pc is on.

Ive had the same problem, you need to take out your RAM and start it, then turn off, then you put your RAM in again. It should work, did for me.

all that does is test if the mother board is good or not, you will hear a beep sound thats it, what i do for my clients is i test all the conections then i move up the scale 7/10 times it is a conection problem so simple slide the side off and make sure your conections are good
