So for anyone of you that got to play tf2 last night during steam's scheduled maintenance (which oddly was during peak hours :/ ) got to play xbox style (no new weapons.) And me personally, although some of the new weapons are annoying I'm glad we have them. The game just seems to boring without someone them, and strategy's are to vanilla.

So what do y'all think?

They can take all the new weapons and gadgets and watches and melt them in a fire. They can then take every one of you dirty facestabbing spies and throw them in the fire too. They can then take all the scrap metal and reclaimed spy and craft it into my axetinguisher. And I will find the game to be perfectly balanced.

hmm i didnt play last night but it would of been nice not having fan scouts and not having to kill a spy 8 times for it to stick.

but i do like my kritz

and it is fun camping spawn untill too many come at you than run and take cover and use the buff banner and turn the tables.

Yea, TF2 before the updates was a lot of fun, but I dont mind most of the crap theyve created to unbalance the game

I missed my axetinguisher and eyelander. The rest... meh.

Some weapons are useful, others are useless. However, pre-medic update (purely vanilla, xbox TF2) would be kind of fun. I find weapons like Backburner to be entirely useless, especially if the Pyro that's using it makes no attempt to flank from behind to utilize its back crits.

the main problem with the backburner in it's intended role is it's ridiculously small hitbox for getting crits from behind

Yeah, Valve should change the backburner to the spy backstab hitbox just to hear the screams of inhuman rage.

No Thanks. Pyros are annoying as it is. Even if the BB had a huge buff it still wouldn't be as useful as the CB flamethrower. The ability to completely stop any uber dead in its tracks alone, is way more useful than the BB could ever hope to be. :)

P.S.
Passerby, do you seek attention or something man? First you had a communist part sig, and now you have mario buying shrooms? Thats kinda inappropriate for the forums don't you think?

Some of the new weapons only make me apprechiate the old ones more (Backburner) , whilst the others act as permanent replacements (Cloak & Dagger). Either way, I like that we get to customise the classes; it adds more veriety to the game.

I did love vanilla tf2, but I do appreciate the new weapons. eg ubersaw, kritz, and med gun.

doesn't matter to me, I can play any of the classes vanilla or regular, although I love my Dead Ringer

For me, there's not much point playing medic with the bonesaw. Same for sniper without jarate. I'm also now pathetically attached to the targe. Other than that, vanilla isn't that bad.

You sir will be facestabbed the next time our paths cross!

Without the weapons TF2 would be kinda repetitive, the new weapons help make difference during gameplay. If you want vanilla just attend to the leagues b.c some leagues have the no new weapon rule. The new weapons are just for fun too.
