Mic not working (GRRR)

Alright do I go on css and plug in my mic same place i plug it in, and i turn voice_loopback 1 on and i hear nothing, everything is full blast, mic was working fine earlier last 2 weeks ago or something.

all my is up and im not muted.



help please

ok whats your sound card ? cuz i had the same problem when i had my new computer my speaker or mic didnt work so what i did was i look for the right icon for my sound i believe if u right click your sound and something should pop up n there might be different icons try n see which one works and i believe all the computers have this but go to ur control panel and click on the speech recognition and set up microphone check and see when u tap ur mic n see if a green volume going up that usually means its working if not maybe try a different icon for the sound . also see if ur microphone setting is muted or not


( in example : i have 2 icon for my speakers / hto striker 7.1 and speakers high defintion audio device so i tik either one of them n see which one plays )
