You know I don't understand it. I played the beta and I didn't like it either. And late public betas are basically giant demos for most games, so I was really disappointed. The game looked really unpolished and uninspired past the high player count, and I was wondering what had gone wrong, because I had some high hopes for Zipper Interactive.
But the final game I really love. The environments are well done, well thought out and objects are distributed nicely without seeming like the game threw up random models everywhere for you to take cover behind.
All I do is sneak around the maps and take out enemy snipers and soldiers holding down areas. And I was surprised how well I could do this. For a good ten minutes I was able to hug a rock face next to an enemy spawn vicinity and take out soldiers who would give me the grace of nice head shot. I try my best to not shoot the bodily area unless directly threatened because with varying levels of armor, and me being on my first sniper rifle (need 1 more exp to buy a new one) giving away my position was unacceptable.
I haven't gotten very high at all in leveling, but from a player who likes to work alone to thin numbers and take out marked targets for the team, I love it so far. I can easily say that I'm going to play M.A.G. on my PS3 and BF:BC on my PC, and those will be the games that I'm sticking to.
(I'll play Killzone 3, but I snipe for crap in the Killzone universe)
