My 5870, seems my 8800 GTS 512 (3 years old) has finally hit the FPS wall. The card has served me good, 8 series was a great line. Got this for all the new games, mainly being Bad Company 2. I want to see all the dx11 goodness. Got rush UPS shipping, should have it in monday or tuesday.

Anyone else have one (dosen't have to be saphire)? How do you like it.
 
Nice. Personally, I'm waiting for the GTX 480 (will be out at about the same time as BC2)!

Anyways, 5870 is a great card.

Yeah. I didn't feel like waiting, the 5870 preforms amazingly, has dx11, and has the right price so I jumped on it. I'll probably crossfire them eventually.
 
Yea im waiting for the Nvidia to come out. Mainly for price reasons and to see how they perform.

I just sold my white iPhone 3g for $280 so thats gonna help towards my upgrade :)

Im waiting for the 58xx to drop in price. If the 5970 becomes super cheap i could just pick one of those up and then get another 5870 for tri-fire if needed. Then hopefully i won't need to upgrade for like 3 years lol.

Unless Nvidia pulls something sick out that is worth it over the ATI cards.

OVERCLOCK YOUR 5870.......im pretty sure you can hit 1000mhz core on that thing easily with a little more volt and it will definitely be faster than a 4870x2 at that point.

You honestly shouldn't upgrade if you don't have to......unless you have money, or are an enthusiast. Or if the newer cards are just that much better and worth it.

Im gonna order 2x4850x2 soon for like the price of a single 5850.........i definitely wouldn't really need to upgrade those badboys anytime soon at 1680x1050.

Even a single 4850 should be good to go for a little while longer. Never hurts to future proof it a little more though. I know in BC2 it struggles a bit, but by release it should be a breeze.
 
I wouldn't really give up my nvidia gt 220 for another graphics card.
