Divisional T-shirt Designing Contest

<div style="width: 500px; text-align: center" align="center">EdgeGamers has T-shirts that let every one know: You are an eGO member. But until now, there has not been the opportunity to have an eGO shirt with your specific division. That's all going to change with our new Divisional T-Shirt Designing Contest! This time, we put the power of creating and choosing the new designs in YOUR hands.

Each division will have a thread in their Division Discussion forum for members to post what they would like on that division's new T-shirts. After 2 weeks, the top five ideas will be placed in a poll for the entire division to choose the winning design. The design with the most votes for each division will then be available for purchase at eGO's Cafe Press store. There will be five new eGO T-shirt designs available at the end of this contest.

Find your inner muse, and post your ideas, graphics, or divisional slogans!

Rules for the Contest:
  1. No trademarked images can be placed on the T-shirt with the exception of eGO's trademarked logo.

  2. Follow eGO rules. No profranity, no racism, nothing sexually explicit.

  3. Each division must post only to that division's thread. - Please do not post COD T-shirt ideas to TF2's thread.

  4. Leadership of each division will choose the top five ideas for the poll after two weeks.

Get creative. Good luck, and may the best designs win.

got a quick question that might come up, is there a specific size this needs to be done in and any specific template used?

Well it depends on the size of the graphic you'd like to use. For anything of substantial size on the shirt (i.e from collar bone to sternum) you'll need an image at the smallest around 4 megapixels (i.e. 2000x2000, 1000x4000). For something smaller like a name tag or patch size design then you'd shoot for something at least around .5 to 1 megapixels (i.e. 800x600, 1000x500, 1024x1024).

Images can always be scaled down without any hassle but they get blurry and lose detail scaling up. I would say make the images as large as you can unless of course you just have a rough Idea of what you want, if it was to win it could be made into a higher res graphic.

It must be at least 200 DPI for the final print, and in .png format.

Keep in mind that you can enter a smaller size, or just a "mock up" for the contest entry, or even just contribute a slogan or a tagline to the contest. Once the top 5 entries per division are chosen, the full scale image can be completed, or the "winning slogan" posted in pic form in the poll.

If the image is centered in the back, the dimensions must be no larger than 10" x 10", and if it higher on the back/across the shoulders the dimensions can be no larger than 10" x 4".

Each T-shirt design will have the eGO logo on the front with the Division title underneath. The design is for the back of the T-shirt, to show your division's pride.

I already posted this at the TF2 one, but it'll probably attract more attention here.

And btw, I dont know if you have been thinking about any prizes for the poll winning design for each division, but I was thinking the designer should get the first one printed themselves free of charge. :P After all, it is their work. =o

Goodluck to all your designers there. Go find your muse!

Poor ole Stormy only has one request for all contestants: Please do not put advertisements on the buttocks area of the shirt!!!

I really liked my original eGO shirt but i cant wear it out of the house without one of my friends or coworkers pointing out the Verizon Fios tramp stamp!!! Maybe just put them all over the middle of the back and sleeves, just not were ill feel like less of a man for wearing it! :crying:

.

Can i Get one with both Day of Defeat and Call of Duty since i play them both? if so i am deffinately gonna buy one

What would it take to be able to get our names on the shirt (possible even with the ego tag/rank).

I realize each shirt (done that way) would have to be custom ordered (and therefore much more expensive). But it would be a nice option...

This idea is great.I agree with DragonD.It would be nice to have our names on the shirts plus the division or/and rank tag.Keep in mind hat ranks change and maybe people would like to buy a new one with their new rank maybe not.Anyway I think it would be also awesome to have some pics in the back if there are no sponsors to put. Some pics from each division maybe I don't know.I'm not very imaginative but I like the idea!Keep it up guys!

You guys seem to be missing a key component of the contest, its for the eGO CafePress store.

All cafe press eGO products only have the images that are posted on them by us. So as it states in the divisional posts and Fluffy's first response this is only for the graphic for the back of the shirt. The front will contain the eGO logo and the Division title underneath it then the winning graphic on the back, thats it no ads or anything :)

ALTHOUGH- If you would like to order a Divisional T-shirt from the CafePress store that does have your name on it, please keep in mind it will be the cost of the shirt, plus a $10 fee for adding the graphics and making it available for you to purchase. Just send a PM to DirtyDeets with your request once the T-shirts are available. He can take care of your order and will send a link for you to purchase your gear once they've been created.

:O Ok sorry I haven't read the post from Fluffy but anyway I don't have imagination so I can't think something anyway. But I like the idea at all;)

I know I can't design, but I am excited to see what the artists on the CoD Division can come up with!

I was not missing the fact that it's for the CafePress. Tis why I "asked" what would it take? And why i stated I understand it would be much more expensive (probably even with a "handling" charge).
