I have this panasonic monitor lying around. It is 42 inches as stated. It was my old TV in the living room before my family upgraded to a Samsung 52 inch 6 series plasma a couple months ago because of the reviews it got and the price we paid ($1,000) versus the retail of a lot more.
I also have this monitor which i am currently using Samsung monitor it is 22 inches.
The first one was really expensive from what i remember and what it states, $2,800. But according to it, the native resolution is only 852 x 480. I've plugged my PC into it once and it definitely did not run at that resolution. It ran somewhere around 1680x1050 which is the resolution of my current samsung monitor. I read that the 42 inch panasonic can do resolutions of upwards to 2048x1024 or something like that, is this upscaling basically?? It can receive a whole range of inputs like 1080p/i, 720p/i and all that junk.
Im still unsure about the panasonic monitor and what it can do, like for instance, does it really run resolutions higher than the native one states? According to the web it does and from a personal test it did but it was a long time ago. How does it compare to my 22 inch also?? do you think it will look better or worse because the samsung has a native resolution of 1680x1050 which is higher than the panasonic one. Which one would also be better for gaming?? like would one of them lag more or something compared to the other due to HZ and MS response times??
Any help would be appreciated
