Alrite, so about 2 hrs ago, my 4850x2 came. It arrived within 1 days shipping lol which was nice.

The card comes in at almost 11.5 inches which is ridiculously long, its longer than the 4870x2 somehow even though its just a dumbed down version of it.

I've only ran Far Cry2 benchmark though so far, i think i have a problem, it may be that my single 4850 is primary adapter and the 4850x2 is the linked adapter leading to giving me lower FPS than expected but im not certain of this.

Anyway, heres results from 1680x1050 Ultra High 4xAA (8xAA wasn't working for some reason, i think its the problem i stated above)

Far Cry 2 benchmark tool: 1680x1050 Ultra High 4xAA:
* Average Framerate: 73.22
* Max. Framerate: 144.05
* Min. Framerate: 23.82

Sorry this is so hard to view, idk why it's so small. Anyway, the numbers are posted above. These are the averages from 3 loops.

The card is sick though, all 3 are clocked at 700 core and 1110 memory. I will note though, the fan is LOUD!!!! i can probably lower it but at 50% it is definitely the loudest fan in my system, and i have about 4x120mm side panels at 90CFM and like 5-6 more fans going on in the case and this thing is still the loudest. It keeps the GPU cool though i'll give it that, matches the temps of my thermaltake duorb aftermarket cooling on my single 4850.

I will add more benchmarks with the limited number of games i have soon. Sorry i won't have pictures up, no camera..........but the heatsink on it is basically 2 on each core and the casing on the 4850x2 is a full body brushed aluminum which is real nice.

Here is GPU-Z verification:

Battlefield Bad company 2 beta: 1680x1050 Max 4xAA 16xAF

Avg: 76
These scores aren't what they would really be, the 3 cards at clocked at stock speeds instead of overclocked. For some reason, when overclocked at any amount, bad company 2 crashes on me and freezes my system. I've played with the regular overclock and the average is around 8 FPS more, minimum i have never really seen or felt it drop below 60 FPS and the max FPS is in the 100's.

Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 2: 1680x1050 Max 4xAA 16xAF
Min: 70
Max: 95
Avg: 90
COD:MW2 bottlenecks with multi-gpu solutions and as shown in other review sites, it never really goes above 85 or changes. It's a constant FPS across all resolutions also.

Crysis Warhead: 1680x1050 Gamer 0xAA

I didn't really bother with AA, it was unneeded and bogged down the game a lot more than you would think.

Bioshock 2: 1680x1050 Max possible settings

Note: With Vsync off, the game runs terrible in terms of screen tearing.....Vsync on runs it perfectly smooth though. Needed to turn it off to get Fraps FPS though. Would put up pics but doesn't seem to be working.

Dragon Age Origins: 1680x1050 Everything Max
Min:1 (This is wrong, i never felt it go below 60, must've been during loading screen that it recorded 1)
Max: 449
Avg: 180

Mass Effect 2: 1680x1050 Everything Max
Note: Vsync was on and i couldn't find the setting to turn it off in options
Min: 52
Max: 63

Dirt 2: 1680x1050 Max Settings 8xAA
Min: 91

Total FPS: 10,000

Alien Vs. Predator Demo: 1680x1050 Max Possible Settings 16xAF
Min: 45
Max: 80
Avg: 60
Note: This game doesn't look all that amazing to me. It also runs pretty slow even at 60FPS and just doesn't feel smooth. The gameplay is somewhat disappointing but its not terrible. This game doesn't seem appealing to me and the graphics definitely aren't the best even at maxed settings. Some of the things look bad while others look amazing, overall graphics aren't the worst though and they are still pretty good in the end. I don't know how much DX11 will change the way it looks though.

well im not real sure, but that doesn't seem too bad. my 5850 with 8x AA gets lower average, bout same minimum than that.
other than that feedback im unsure, are those 512 mb cards? that could be bottlenecking it some because of the AA, which is probably why 8x doesn't work either

yes, i also believe the single 512mb card is bottlenecking my system with 8xAA. It runs at like 20FPS compared to 4xAA which runs at like 75FPS. So far, only Far Cry 2 and Bad Company 2 bottleneck at 8xAA. There is honestly no reason to run games at 8xAA, i can't really tell the difference between that and 4xAA though there probably is one but can only be noticed side by side.

I will continue to post up benchmarks. The only reason why i feel something is wrong is because anandtech did a review with 3 way last year and their 512mb could run far cry 2 at 50 FPS 8xAA while i can only run 20FPS.......maybe if my 4850x2 was the primary card instead of seconday, idk.

Anyways, i will continue to post up benchmarks. I will take requests from anyone if you want me to. Just note that it may take a while.

Can you post some pics of them?
I want to see the inside of your computer,
with the boss D14, and now tri-fire 4850's

Sure thing once i get my dad's camera ill take a good amount of pics.

Be warned though, cable management isn't the best because i don't have a modular PSU and theres a ton of spare cables......i hid all of them behind the mobo tray though. Theres only 1 cable out in the open, 8 pin mobo power cable because its too short to be routed.

Okay, it's cool.
You should see the cable management on mine lol
But make sure to take a lot of pictures.

K system pics are up........the Noctua fan on the bottom kinda makes up for the loss in airflow from the cables. It gives the GPU direct air from the bottom of the case.

Well, i don't really know what else to benchmark, ill probably do some Crysis but anyone have any requests for games to benchmark?? I will download World In Conflict also and probably get some benchmarks of that up.

Will take requests :)

You may catch a glimpse that im missing a RAM stick.......that because the bloody thing is defective and doesn't run at 1.65v stable. OCZ wants me to send them back the whole kit which leaves me computer-less, im trying to get them to let me send just one stick back.

Damn girl
Nice rig there.
I see that Noctua on the base
next to the PSU
trying to get improved
airflow to the GPU?
lol

Nice. My 5870 gets those numbers, maybe a little higher.

Yup........my 3x4850 are probably on par with your 5870, i probably get higher max FPS but you get a higher minimum FPS than me.

Either way, im happy with my purchase as i figured i would rather spend less to get the same amount of performance. DX11 is no biggy for me.

Well, i'd say this was a good upgrade for only $200.......beats paying $400 to get about the same performance. Now i can go buy a phone :P

So nobody has anymore requests for benchmarks?? I still have a bit more but just wondering if anyone wanted me to do any more.

Crysis Warhead is up

It looks like you only have 2 sticks of ram. Is this true, because i thought the i7 ran triple channel ram? Unless your running dual-channel on an i7 *GASP*

EDIT: saw your post in 3dmark score thread, that sucks RMAs are a pain

AVP Demo
World in conflict/Supreme Commander some RTS..

Just off the top of my head, do what you have.

I have World in conflict, need to install it though. I will do TF2. I will also do bioshock 2 but probably tomorrow. AVP demo is possible. Im not gonna do normal crysis though or stalker. May take at a maximum of 2 days though :)

Any more requests are welcome.

Oh, forgot some.

Fallout 3
Mass Effect 2

Maybe Half Life 2: Ep2

Thats all I can think of, :)

Just listing good benchmarking games since no one else seems to be doing so..

Also, for the Tf2 benchmark make sure it's in a FULL 32 Player server and list the map.

K.........lol i have like a job now posting up all these benchmarks now, these will take a while to install test and put up haha.

Im not gonna do fallout3 because that game is bottlenecked...........the card run it at a constant 85FPS across all resolutions just like Modern Warfare 2.

I will do Mass effect 2 later on and Dragon Age origins also.

Bioshock 2 will go up soon so stay tuned......ill do TF2 right now.

World In Conflict just went up, some beastly FPS i have to say.
